food is good, drinks are a reasonable price, the landlady is amazing end the pool team is just the best of the best nothing at all to fault with this pub. they make you feel like family and so welcome! got a few hot bar men too
A visit for a family of 4, 2 adults, 2 teens. Great food for all ages & tastes. Also a very good selection of drinks. Sensibly priced for families. Booking a table was easy and the table was clearly marked when we got there. Very friendly staff and prompt service. Great that you can collect stamps towards rewards at each visit. Excellent all round, just keep on doing what you're doing.
Things went a bit awry this afternoon, which led to our food being 2 hours late. So, why five stars all round from me? Someone called Becky, that's why. Excellent hostess/barmaid who somehow managed to turn a quite difficult and stressful afternoon into a success, using her amazing personable skills. Thank you Becky
Great food and great service when I go here, even when busy the food comes out tasting great. THey have started to do entertainment again as well which is always a good night to look forward to. Will be going again soon.

OMGGG*V* The skewers was AWESOME! The chicken was really juicy and tender, plus there were lots of veggie as well! A very balanced meal☺️The New Chuck Wagon featured sirloin steak topped with Monterey Jack cheese, bacon and onion rings. It was reallly big chuck with lots of favours! Definitely loving the Sundae🧡Best dessert for summer time with wafer as well haha
Highly recommending for families to visit as they have wide range of menu, even one dedicated for kids as well!
Good value meals and good service. This is a family pub and unfortunately many customers cannot control their language around kids, every other word was F', I'd understand if it was late but it was 2pm. The service and food was good during our visit.

The best thing about The Turnpike is the prices of the food, great value and you also get offers online. Food was delicious and piping hot. Staff were extremely helpful
The staff are friendly the beer is cold and the food is always good, well cooked and hot.
It's family friendly, has a seating area ouside the front and an OK size rear garden.
Myself and my partner live fairly close to the Turnpike and are regularly for à meal
Improvement all round since management replaced. Olivia and Angela especially bring some much needed friendly and welcoming atmosphere making this establishment now a pleasure to enjoy drinks food and banter with not only the hard working staff but also with the locals and regulars
This was the first time I have visited the turnpike we went for a family meal. I cannot express how much we were looked after I had my disabled mother with us and the bar staff were excellent one bar of the bar staff named liv was absolutely amazing are food had just come out and my mother needed to use the toilets liv went out of her way to escort my mother in her wheelchair to the toilet to save are food becoming cold. I would truly recommend this pub and would like to thank liv once again for the service she provided 10 ⭐ From me.
We all had a great time, all thoroughly enjoyed our food. The customer service was excellent from start to finish.
Staff were friendly and welcoming to all, good with kids. Drink prices are as expected. Lack of beer garden is the biggest disadvantage with this venue, nowhere for kids to run about
