The Pheasant - Sorbie - Photo album

Lovely meal, fantastic fresh made pasta and some of the nicest desserts I’ve had for a long time. I
Stumbled across the Pheasant whilst out visiting the lighthouse at the Isle of Whithorn and so glad we did. We all ended up having 3 courses and each one of us enjoyed each meal. Had a gluten free member in the party they catered for. If you like Italian food then it's well worth a visit.
Great food, cooked from scratch. Well worth a visit.
Expensive but Homemade pasta, good wine menu, decent portions and lovely husband-wife duo running the restaurant. Only critical thing: we were a party of three and we were asked (verbally) to add gratuity, when perhaps it should have been built into the bill.
Beautiful Italian food. Very special menu, as they say, made with love. The Chocolate & Ginger mud pie was devine. It took great restraint, not to lick the plate after. Highly recommended.
A lovely family meal. A simple menu with fabulous Italian pasta dishes with some tasty starters to get the taste buds going. Pizzas for little ones only during busy periods - my vegetarian teenage daughter was a bit disappointed that she couldn’t have pizza as the two vege options for mains weren’t
Really lovely place. Recommended by locals when staying in the area on holiday. Very welcoming couple who run the place and couldn't have been more helpful in offering different gluten free versions of the menu for our kids. The food was wonderful and the rhubarb pannacotta was out of this world.
Had 2 lovely meals to takeaway when we stayed at a little campsite behind the school. Think it's the best meal in the South West of Scotland
2nd visit to Galloway, 2nd visit to the pheasant and 2nd time it was on point. Great service, delicious food, great surroundings and if you get chance to try the basil frozen yoghurt take it! Ask what chef has on the go off the menu as well for some great local offerings.
Friendly welcome food was acceptable but not exceptional
Really good food and wine. Great service from the team and a really nice atmosphere.
Lovely restaurant with fantastic food and friendly and helpful staff!
This is an absolute gem of a restaurant. Off the beaten track but so worth the visit. The menu is small which forced myself and my boyfriend to choose dishes outside of our comfort zones, and boy are we glad we did. The food was truly outstanding, all cooked by one chef who really knows his stuff an
Gorgeous, homemade food and wonderful, attentive staff. Could so easily have missed this wee gem!
Really lovely food and something a bit different for the area. Cannot complain!
Lovely meal. Got stung by the taxi company to and from it but the restaurant is lovely, including the lunchtime pizzas (eaten by the beach).
Probably the most remote, yet authentic, Italian restaurant in the UK! Found this by chance looking for a good place to eat on Google maps while staying in Port William. The menu is simple, but absolutely delicious food. I was able to chat to the owner/chef who was friendly and polite, as well has h
What a gem - we had a large family group here for lunch during the week, and the team were so warm, attentive and welcoming. Delicious Italian food, fresh pasta, beautiful produce and made with such care. The desserts were delicious, the children's portions perfect. A very lucky find on our holiday-
Excellent food and really welcoming service. Thank you. Fabulous time
