Dropped in here by pure chance the other week on a Sunday. They were busy but accommodating and managed to squeeze us in. Busy yet the food and the carvery was very nice, very tasty, well cooked and great portions! But best of all was the staff, mainly a very young team but well trained and helpful, enthusiastic and positive about everything they were doing - well trained and reflects a well run place. Just booked another Sunday lunch! Definitely recommended

Pulled into this place on our way back to South Wales from Dorset. Lovely food and great service with a very friendly atmosphere. They even had a small campsite at the rear which could be really handy.

Been here a few times. Such lovely food this time I had the ploughmans it was lovely best I've had around and a really good price. Staff polite and friendly. Parked fine just behind the pub. They also have a kids play area fenced off by the car park.

They do Carvery twice a week (Sundays & Wednesday evenings). I would highly recommend trying the carvery but book ahead as it can get very busy. There is also a menu to choose from on all other days apart from a Monday as they are closed.

We hired the camping field out the back of pub for a wedding last weekend and it perfect, great spot. The Landlord Dave helped us out at short notice after being let down by another venue. Friendly staff and great food and ale. All in all a great place to go.

Only used this local country pub the once as was only camping at High Ham for a couple of nights. Friendly welcome after I'd booked a table at short notice. The food was tasty hot and served with a smile. Food and drinks for 2 around £40. A good popular community pub.

We've been here twice now and stayed overnight in our motorhome. The food is well presented and enjoyable. Both times the lady behind the bar was friendly and we were served quickly. We'll definitely be back.

I like this pub. Food is good and reasonably priced. My only negative would be the language from locals sat at the bar, which seems to be acceptable. It got a bit tedious listening to it after a while!

I made a late booking for a group of 15 due to being let down by another pub. An excellent service and the Sunday carvery was good quality, tasty and plenty if it. Recommended. PS: doggy friendly.

Went for a Sunday roast - good value for ("small" portion for £10.95 is plenty) and the food is pretty good but the rooms are really bare, all the doors are wide open and the tables are sticky - it's a shame, because the staff are friendly but the whole environment is so basic that it's not very inviting for a second visit.
