Best freshest coffee in the Midlands. The smell and taste that freshly roasted coffee produces is certainly something you will not experience with your standard coffee shop.. highly recommend popping in for a quite relaxed atmosphere. The coffee will not disappoint..

Absolutely Amazing Coffee, freshly roasted and ground on the premises. This old school cafe offers a well stocked range of coffee in a truly original setting, don't forget to try the Bacon butty's. Forget the big chains and go back to basics.

Fabulous freshly ground coffee made into whatever drink you prefer. Happy to make up coffee mixtures to suit all tastes and machines to take home. Cafe is superb with great friendly staff and fabulous home-made food. Don't forget to take home some delicious chocolates too.

13 Nov 21 - I went for breakfast here about 7 years ago and I’ve been hankering for one since. Had another one today and oh. my. lord. best brekkie I’ve had in months, maybe years. Bacon - Elite level, dry cured and crispy fatty bit. Sausages - Long, fat and scrumptious 😉 Eggs - Two and fried to perfection, yolk so gloopy it can be dipped and enjoyed. Hash Brown - My only grumble would be I could have had a second HOWEVER the one provided was a big fella so 👍 Beans - Heinz Shrooms - Fried properly and not slimy Coffee - Again, A1 Elite. The couple that run the place know their shiz and we had an Americano that tasted amazing and looked liked an ancient Japanese painting of mountains and a white coffee that made me buy a sack of beans on the way out. Ignore Asda Ignore Spoons Ignore anything else

Good quality food, staff, and really great coffee. We liked the coffee so much we bought a couple different beans to use at home. Definitely worth a visit over other big chain brands on the high street

Not many places you can get level of service like this in Birmingham. I buy my fresh beans from here regularly and the staff are on on hand to help you select coffee to suit your tastes. Coffee is roasted fresh here and be ground or left whole

I placed a phone order today and have to say that I couldn’t be happier with the service received. The owner was very knowledgeable about the coffee they sell and gave suggestions for usage, storage and alternative blends to try. This service was then topped by receiving same day delivery, in which the owner cycled to my home to drop the freshly roasted coffee off. I could not wish for better service, and a lovely guy to top it all off.

Great coffee shop where they roast and blend their own coffees and have done for years. They sell artesian chocolates which I haven't tried but do look great. They have a good selection of cakes and also do a breakfast. We'll worth a visit small independent and full of character.

I work close to Shirley so I have been to many cafes around the area. At first I was reluctant to come as it didn't look like my cup of tea from the outside. Don't judge a book by its cover! There is free parking for customers in the rear which is convenient. As you walk in it has a traditional/antique style which works very well. I tried the Jacket potato and it was freshly made and tasted delicious. The tuna was fresh out of the tin instead of pre mixed with mayo which gave me the option to have it without mayo as I'm trying to be healthier. The tomato, mushroom and onion omelette I have tried today was great and was made differently compared to other places with the toppings cooked separately from the omelette and placed in the centre of the folded omelette. You can tell they take pride in preparing food. They have this amazing traditional coffee filter machine (not sure of the name) that I've never seen before and you can tell they know what they're doing when I comes to making fresh coffee. Yet to try most things on the menu but the service and quality of food I have received so far is brilliant Overall brilliant food, coffee and customer service!

Bought some coffee beans today for home use. Usually buy it from Asda, but only realized today that it was a minute walk from there. Quality coffee beans with very nice flavor. Price is appropriate but worth it with the quality of beans & variety. Recommended

This coffee shops is not the standard run of the mill shop. I have passed it so many times on my way to work. I finally got round to going in after a long night/ day at the bed side of a family member. I was tired and needed a hot meal so poped in and have a amazing vegetarian breakfast and the best cup of black coffee ever. This is a shop where you can sit down and just look around at all the things they have around the shop. It was the best hour of my life just taking time to myself and being fed great food. I would recommend this shop as it is just a nice place to go for some things to eat or just a out of this world real coffee ☕.

I've roasted & brewed my own coffee for years. Lived oversees for 17 year, recently returned home to UK and this is my local coffee bean supplier. Too many "Artisan" coffee roasters charging way over-the-top for their beans. Here you find value. This is a seriously established roaster of some 30 years - long before the coffee boom. Excellent, fresh roasted beans & blends. Their Italian blend is not just a muscular flavour-bomb, it has blown my socks off every morning! If you live in the area, don't bother paying silly money for bohemian, hipster-roasted beans - come here for the real thing & real value.

We stumbled across this place by accident, glad we did because it was an unusual experience: Coffee - this was brilliant, if a little on the small side. I think it should be in larger mugs. Food - we just had jam on toast, it can was okay, nothing special. Staff - the Oriental lady is wonderful; polite, attentive and always smiling. The English guy was clearly having problems with his credit card and was in the shop shouting down the phone. It was a bit unprofessional. He was also quite intense! Whilst waiting for my coffee, I took some pictures of the teapots inside, he came up behind me with a demanding "Can I help you?" Location - it's a bit naff for the business because you wouldn't normally stumble across it, but this is what gives it some of the charm. Decor and interior - I'm not sure what to make it this? You'll need to judge it got yourself. We'll be going back again in a few weeks to experience the place again.

Not from the area but popped in and so glad we did, my friend had the English breakfast and I tried the tuna and cheese melt, both delicious. The coffee was outstanding and I am fussy when it comes to my coffee, asked me if I preferred strong or weak coffee, went for string and all coffee roasted on premises. If you are in the area, take the time to visit this place. 👍👍👍☕️☕️

It's not a place you can just pop in to, set aside an hour and talk to the owner about what you do and don't like. He's not at all pushy, but is clearly very passionate so prepare yourself for an educating. The coffee blends are roasted and mix every day in store and are never older than a few days when sold. Not even very expensive compared to supermarket premium coffee beans.

Proper authentic roastery. Loads of choice of bean, roasted on the premises and ground to your preference. The slightly gaudy facade hides a traditional vintage counter and the on-site roasting machine. If you prefer the plastic lifestyle coffee chains you might not get it. But if you're into authentic coffee, if it's about the flavour and the kick, seek it out. There are few places in the midlands where you can go to get fresh coffee beans / grind. Quirky and refreshingly free from corporate influence. I took away 500g each of Costa Rica and their own three bean blend.
