Great local pub with different and interesting draught ales and pleasant patrons
The heart of Solihull Real ale. Now run by Geoff, Sue and Tracey since Covid. This micro pub is hard to beat. The times CAMRA pub of the year. 4-6 real and 2 cask ales that are constantly changing week on week, so you will always get to try something new each visit. Plus cider, gin and vodka. A frie
Visited with my partner and dog on a Sunday afternoon. The staff were very accommodating and made us feel very welcome. We both loved the cider we had, and will definitely been returning to try their small batch gin!
Always friendly & welcoming staff. Sue & Jeff have made the Pup & Duckling a lively & lovely hub of the local Community.
Great community cask pub. Friendly service, comfortably busy with a good atmosphere.
What a great beer festival it was last weekend. We visited on Friday and Saturday and had some fabulous ale. The Pup was full of like minded ale drinkers, and everyone we spoke to had a great time. Many thanks to Jeff and Sue. PS when's the next one
Lovely atmosphere. Staff were very friendly. It is only open until 9pm (actually 10pm!) but that was more than enough time for a catch up with friends. I tried mango cider and although very sweet it was delicious and very refreshing on a hot day.
This place has really come along over the years. The ale and staff have always been top notch, but it did used to feel a little too like your mate had a bar in the back room. They've obviously invested a lot in doing the place up and now it has the look and feel to go with a great selection of ales
Love the P&D for the friendly atmosphere and staff. The great selection of beers are well kept and presented - their place in the Good Beer Guide is well deserved.
Great place to visit. If you pop by on a sunny day, sit outside and bask in the sun
