After a long drive from Liverpool heading down to Northampton, I decided to come here! I've been here a few times being a recovery driver I'm always up and down the country, but this place is by far the best curry I've ever had, service is A** and prices and very good! Thank you once again to the lads at The Delhi

Food is great but for the 2nd takeaway in a row something is missing. Last one was missing some chicken from the tandoori half chicken. We only got a leg. Tonight, missing the Dahl from the special byriani. Bit annoying.

Very friendly staff and one of the best Indian restaurants in Birmingham. There is a range of dishes to choose from and they are all fantastic. The staff make you feel welcome and the service is always exceptional. The sharing platter is a must have to get a variety of the starters. The venue is spacious and good for groups or couples. I would definitely recommend a visit!

MAGNIFIQUE.

Fantastic. Great food, fantastic little place with great character and an open kitchen for confidence. We had a meal for four for £40 and it was delicious. They even do a great takeaway service with lots of different offers. By far the best Indian in Solihull.

Yes yes yes!. On a visit to Solihull we were told to go to Delhi by one of our colleagues and she could not have recommended a better place! This small little Indian in the heart of Solihull is packed with big flavours and has a great theme. With an open kitchen you could see what's being cooked while you wait. They have 30-40 seats upstairs which is a stylish restaurant. We had the meal for 1 for £10, any starter, any main with rice or naan and a glass of wine or cobra beer! Fantastic.

Fab food at affordable prices. Visited the Delhi with my family and tried their 'keep calm and curry on' offer. Starter, main, rice or naan and a bottle of cobra or glass of house wine. It was fantastic - food through to service. The kids even got ice cream!! We will all be back soon to try out some their other dishes.

A superb little Restaurant. This little Indian restaurant boasting an open kitchen and a fantastic selection of dishes on their menu has got to be one of the best places I have been to. We booked in party of 10 on recommendation from the NEC and we all agreed at the end of the meal that the service and food here is 100% to our satisfaction. No surprise they were full when we went in. The management must be proud of this little GEM. Well done guys. Our tip and review is well deserved. C u soon. Stewart (From London)

Fantastic!. This Restaurants food has got to be the BEST in the region. Being Indian myself I took my family to try out their food and we were not dissapointed. The flavor and methods used by this restaurant is as authentic as you can get. What is even more amazing is the buzz in this small restaurant, having an open kitchen and sheek colourful deco it felt like we entered into a restaurant which is actually in Delhi India!!!

We went to The Delhi for cooking lessons with Maz. It was absolutely fantastic and a real insight to how well prepared the food is at this restaurant. Maz was very patient with us all and our food, the product of the afternoons cooking, was delicious. By far the BEST Indian restaurant in the region.

Without Doubt The Best 'Little' Indian Restaurant In The Midlands .... Though it is not very often that I am pleased enough to write a review after visiting a restaurant, I have to say, that on this occasion, I just had to get on line and give the DELHI RESTAURANT in SOLIHULL, the credit and praise that it so richly deserves.

The DELHI is an amazing place, which we booked by chance, as we were 3 adults from Kent, who were visiting the N.E.C. for the Motorhome Show and also needed to stay in the area overnight .

Firstly, let me say, do not be put off by the small exterior of the restaurant, as there is a very BIG warm welcome from the magement and staff, awaiting you inside.

The main seating area is upstairs and as restuarants go is quite small in size - I would say, approximately about 25 covers or so. For us that was nice, cosey and intimate ; )

Again, I have to say, that what the DELHI lackes in size, it makes up for in the BIGNESS of it's cuisine - Which is absolutely first class and of the highest standards in terms of overall presentation and taste - Really Superb!

I have to give a very special thank-you to the young floor manager, 'Shaheed' (my apologies for the spelling if wrong), who could not have made us 'Southerners' more welcome.

His service and attention to detail, together with him taking the time to explain the DELHI's new restaurant dishes, was second to none.

This young man will go a long way in the restaurant trade, or any other people to people, service industry - of that I am absolutely sure.. Absolutely Brilliant !!

The DELHI's owner 'MAZ', was also an, exceptionally nice guy and it's a testament to his professionalism - as both the owner and as he explained, sometimes being the DELHI's lead Chef, that the restaurant is such a brilliant place to experience.

It really is a great shame, that we live 200 miles away, otherwise this little 'golden nugget' of a restaurant, would be on our weekly dining out calendar.

After nearly 40 years of eating out in Indian Restaurants I can honestly say, that for that something really special,,. that something very different,.. at prices that we thought were very reasonable and a taste experience, that will blow you away .... . It doesen't get better than this!!

So why not treat yourself and go and experience the DELHI RESTAURANT in SOLIHULL for yourselves, you won't be disappointed and will no doubt return again and again. Just make sure you pre book as clearly, THE DELHI, is a restaurant growing increasingly in popularity!

Our sincerest thatnks warmest regards to all at the DELHI RESTAURANT - We rally hope to return one day !!

Wow...what a great experience. After seeing the Delhi's demonstration at the Solihull food show we booked a table for the 4 of us. This small restaurant capable of seating only 26 guests has got to be one of the best indian restaurant i have been to for a very long time. The quality of food from there award winning chef and the attentive service was fantastic. I will be back again to try more of there dishes until they open a branch in Mosely! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys fresh indain food. Certainly a true little gem. Liz

Best Indian Eatery in Solihull. Dont write many reviews, however i got to say this place is amazing. They were fully booked when the five of us arrived however as we were new to the area. The front of house staff recommended a few bars to go to before they can accomodate us. We went next door to the Metro Bar for a round of drinks, a great recomendation. To our surprise one of the staff from the Delhi came in to the bar about 45 minutes later to inform us that our table was ready. Service or what?
As the eatery has an open kitchen we all watched the chefs at work cooking individual dishes from scratch, the aromas were amazing and the buzz of the kitchen was awesome.
We were then lead upstairs to a cozy linen laid table restaurant, we quickly ordered, skipping the starters and straight to mains. I ordered a Chicken Dhall Saag and my husband a Spicy Lamb Kurma with Pilow rice and the others a King prawn dish and 2 chicken dishes with various breads and rices.
The food arrived promptly and I have to say with every bite i could taste true Indian flavours which can only be produced by using fresh ingredients. We all enjoyed every last bit of the food and when the waiter came to ask us how the food was we all pointed at our empty dishes!!
We were told that the delhi has been there for six years and I am sure with service and food that this eatery provides it will be there for many more. Me and my friends will be sure to come back to try more of their dishes.
We all loved the delhi experiece and their delights and will recommend it to the world. You may have to wait a little while to be seated but the wait is worth it.

The Best Indian in Solihull. I have tried many Indian restaurants around the Uk but must say The Delhi in Solihull has now got to be one my top favorites. I had the Madras Pepper Lamb with lemon corriender rice and it was bang on the money. The service was attentive and atmosphere being a small restaurant was very cosy. I will definately be back and recommending this hidden gem to my freinds and family. Well done The Delhi

Absolute Gold. I have eaten at a number of Indian Restaurants over the years and must say the Delhi is one of my favourites, I would even go as far as saying it's as good as the Punjab in Convent Garden. The service, atmosphere and quality of the food prepared makes every visit a really enjoyable experience. I shall certainly be back again soon and would recommend anyone who hasn't sampled it's delights to give it a go. Otherwise you are missing out on a true gem!

A true hidden gem. The Delhi in Solihull town centre looks like an ordinary takeaway place, and only accommodates around 10 diners upstairs. But the quality of the food is first-rate and the service is excellent. I've been a number of times, sitting in mostly, and it's a very good Indian restaurant with an extensive menu. It just seems like I'm the only one that knows it.

They provide a unique experience in eating, bringing you authentic Indian cuisine, gives the feel of the Old East with flavours of the West. They have many diverse regional flavours served prepared in open kitchen up across India. Portions are small but very tasty.

Another great experience with Solihull's best curry house! My fiancée was celebrating her 30th birthday so we asked the Delhi to cater for a group of 30 guests in our home. Maz and his team did a superb job. Everybody remarked on how lovely the curry was. We had an array of dishes and starters, and every single one of them was cooked to perfection. My Fiancee adored the Mango Chicken and the Lamb Rogan Josh was spectacular. The guys were great at accomodating all our needs as we also had vegans and vegetarians to cater for along with guest with allergies, and the equipment provided kept everything warm throughout the evening. Maz's team even came and collected the equipment the same evening so there was no washing up to face in the morning hungover :-) Excellent. Thankyou again to Maz and everyone from The Delhi who was involved, you made my fiancée's birthday a really special occasion.

Me and my family ate at the Delhi and we had a wonderful time. The service was amazing. Waiters always checking up on us to make sure everything is ok and if we needed anything and the food itself was excellent. One of the best curry houses in the whole of Birmingham definitely. The owner was at the restaurant on the day too and he was lovely and even gave us some free poppadoms and chocolates to the little kids. Food had lots of flavour and absolutely love the Bangladeshi influence on some of the dishes. Will definitely be coming back very soon! Highly recommend.

Went to the Delhi Solihull staurant in Solihull. Live in Coventry, so was told Birmingham is much better Indian food. Great food served here. Seek kebabs for starters were amazing. Had a lamb bhuna and naan. Wife had a deal, starter seek kebab, tawa chicken and garlic coriander naan. Drinks slightly pricey, but the same everywhere. Issa the young waiter, was brilliant on customer service.

Indian restaurant with different kind of meals, prepared, cooked and served from an open kitchen. Nice to seal how the Indian cooks are preparing the food. The food is so tasty, really good (had the lamb and pumpkin dansak)! Combination of spices is perfect! Only 4 our of 5 stars because is think the price is a bit high. But for the rest it is a place I would like to go back to!

The food was good with the flavours and spice. If you want you can add additional spice to your meal. The seating area is limited so book a table if there are more than 4 people or if it's a weekend! The staff is friendly and caring. You might feel a bit pricy but considering the location and the food, it's alright! The beer option is limited!

My boyfriend and I enjoyed a delicious meal here on Friday night, our curries were delicious and the garlic naan was one of the best we've had. We had the pleasure of being served by Shahir who was very personable and eager to ensure that we had a nice night. The ability to bring your own alcohol is also an added bonus. We will definitely be returning! :)
