A lovely pub with a great atmosphere, but a special shout out to all those working behind the bar, Kate and Leonie in particular. They are lovely and hard-working always bringing a smile to everyone's face and day. The food is delicious with well priced drinks and a beautiful beer garden.

We went on opening night and thoroughly enjoyed the food, the pub has been beautifully refurbished, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We have booked to go back on Sunday! Would recommend.
Nothing better than finding a place with great food, but most importantly impeccable customer service from very experienced and well trained friendly staff within an amazing environment!!! Loved it!

Had the roast, it was fantastic. Desert was spot on aswell. Good portions at affordable prices. Servants smiley and eager to please. Would highly recommend and will be coming back soon xx

Vistes this pub for the first time, soaking wet as was hiking. The greeting from the young barmaid the very nice and made to feel welcome. Order drinks and food. I highly recommend the ham,egg, chips and peas, absolutely lovely. This pub has ample parking and good outdoor space. Highly recommended
Very impressed with the Bold Forester. Food was beautiful, nice pint and the staff were incredibly helpful and pleasant. Very dog friendly too, which was a huge bonus. We will definitely be back.

We really enjoyed our meal here. Good variety of food at a good price and quality. Will definitely be going back. Lovely little garden with children's play area. Bike rack for locking your bikes up and plenty of parking.

First time visit at this pub today 25/06/19) and I was not disappointed.
Plenty of parking in a wonderful village, nice sized garden with plenty of seating areas and a great children's play area.
Dogs are also welcome.
Inside, the pub has been tastefully decorated. Modern but still leaves that olde world feel.
A warm snug area, beautiful fireplace and comfy sofas with reading material, makes you feel right at home.
The bar is well stocked and the staff super friendly.
The main restaurant is swish but welcoming.
The food is amazing. For lunch a wild mushroom risotto filled the air with aromatic flavours and tasted out of this world.
A homemade mushroom soup with a salmon sandwich for my mum, who ooohed and ahhhed at every mouthful.
The chefs deserve high praise for their cooking delights.
This pub is suitable for vegetarian and specialist dietary requirments from lunch to dinner.
Family, friends or business personnel would be welcome here. Oh, and don't forget your dog too!
What a wonderful place to enjoy a great meal or even just a drink at the bar.

Stumbled upon this pub on google when looking for somewhere to eat after a walk in Soberton. And i'm sooo glad we did because it was great!
Food was really nice, good selection for adults and children.
Waitresses were lovely and made a real effort to make sure we had everything we needed and edited the menu a bit for my daughter who has allergies.
And the pub itself was beautiful, cosy and the music playlist was 10/10.
another star added for the play area as was the best quality play area i've seen in a pub garden for a long time, was in good condition and my daughter had great fun.

Lovely country pub, family and dog friendly.
They've a fairly big garden area and a marquee set up for whilst we all social distancing. A small play area for kids.
I highly recommend booking before attending under the current circumstances to avoid disappointment.
The inside is cute and cosy if you plan to visit when things are finally back to normal.
I've had an amazing fish and chips previously but this time I went for the steak and it was beautiful! The chips are the best pub chips! 😍 Also the king praws were lovely to start! Thank you for a lovely time guys! 😊 We will definitely be back! 😊

The food is very very good
there is a regular menu but also there is a specials board
Good size portions are served , I had a delicious homemade lasagne and my mrs had the pork belly both were absolutely lovely
There were 3 real ale bitters on tap, I chose "wallops wood" by local brewers "Bowman Brewery"
All of the waitresses were very friendly and the service was good
Try the bold forester you will love it
