Some people get sniffy about the great British roast dinner, and it's true, you have to get out there to get one that will knock your socks off, well here at the Globe is the answer, sensational, generous, well presented and a gravy with a rich depth of taste unmatched by anything for miles!! I chose the local pork belly, an absolute joy!!

We stayed on a caravan rally behind the pub. Obviously it would have been rude not to pop in for a few drinks with our friends. We had a great meal on the Saturday evening. Many thanks to all the staff.

I am from Yorkshire. I've just had the best steak pie, and the gravy was out of this world; my husband had belly pork, and he is a chef; in his words, the best. Booked again, bringing the family X X X thank you service was outstanding X X 😘

A good country gastro-pub. Nice menu of good food. Mains outshone the starters. Friendly service and good selection of well-kept beer. Worth a visit, especially if you're on a boat!

We came for the campsite at the back. It was above expectations. We were here in October with 3 kids in a motorhome. The shower wasn’t working but we had our own in the motorhome. Had a lot of fun having dinner in the pub, kids were playing at the playground or climbing in trees. Very friendly staff.

Nice friendly place to get lunch - we had some very tasty pies with quite possibly the best pub food I've ever had. Dog friendly.

Visited with a friend mid week for a bite to eat whilst having a catch up. Food was usual pub food menu really. Plentiful and cooked nicely.

Great value and quality lunchtime pub grub. We had Steak Pie, Fish n Chips and Potato, Spinach and Feta pie all of which were great quality with appropriate sized portions of vegetables etc. Backed up by friendly service and an excellent pint of Timothy Taylors Landlord. Thanks.

Another pub that keeps their beer well. Things are looking up! Food was good too. A canalside location and a camping field behind the carpark add the options of taking the kayaks or making a night (or two!) of it in a campervan. The campsite is cheap but offers no facilities (1 loo, no sink) outside pub opening hours, so it wouldn't be a great backpacking experience. A simple toilet block would make all the difference. Pitches have electric hook up

Had a lovely lunchtime meal of steak pie. Exceptional beer (Wye Valley) light and refreshing. Pub was very busy but staff were friendly and polite. The Globe Inn was halfway round our circular 9 mile walk along the Ashby Canal towpath and fields from Shackerstone

Enjoyed our lunch, 6 adults and 2 children + the dog, it was our turnaround on a canal boat day trip on Easter Bank Holiday Monday. Good choice for all, the Men loved the home made Steak and Kidney Pie. Pleasant, attentive staff, and good value. Lovely spot alongside the Ashby canal, will try again in the summer and take advantage of the nice garden

Our new favourite! We visited with our 2 young children for the first time & they were absolutely amazed by the garden & ended up spending quite a few hours playing there! Both drinks & food were also great! We will forever return!
