Excellent service! As this wasn’t our first time here, the staff even recognised us and knew what the kids would like to eat. The food is always delicious !

We ate here twice on our visit to Snape. Both meals were superb, the beer was great and the staff really friendly.

A very friendly atmosphere, great food and all the space our big dog needed to stretch out and relax. He was treated like royalty all evening, by staff and customers.

Food was really good. Great combination of flavours. Service was quick and friendly. Great to see you're not having teething issues seeing as you've just opened. Advisory, mind your head if you're tall.

I visited for the first time today. A large group of us (around 35) enjoyed great service and a truly delicious meal. To produce 35 plates of hot food all at once is no mean feat. I particularly loved the tarragon on the carrots and the delicate spicing of the red cabbage. A lovely place which I'll be visiting again

What an amazing venue! Our networking group attended in a large-ish group (approx. 35) and we're made to feel very welcome. We even brought a band! The food was delicious and the staff were very helpful and polite. I will be certainly be coming back.

Sadly our stay was only for one night. The room was excellent; ample hot water, spacious and very warm. Probably built a few hundred years ago very characterful, not for persons over six ft tall! Beers in excellent condition. One of the best full English breakfasts I have had. Staff were all personable and welcoming. Went the extra mile to give us an early breakfast as we had to leave especially early. Highly recommended.

Lovely little pub and Inn that served great breakfast. Easy access to the local walking trails around Snape. Easy drive to Aldeburgh as well. Parking was available and the place is dog friendly too!

Popped in for a quick pint. Odd smell as soon as you walk in, but a bigger pub that I thought that was starting to get busy. Staff very nice. Will have to come back and try the food soon.

Great well run pub, with surprisingly good prices, considering Snape is so popular? Snug and warm in winter and in summer you can sit outside and watch the world go by. Great location to visit while doing the beautiful Sailor's Path walk nearby!

I haven't actually been there yet. It has a great reputation and menu, it looks lovely and it's handy for Snape Maltings. I booked a few weeks ago for a pre-concert dinner, but felt I had been persuaded to do so against my better judgement and left too little time, so must now cancel. I will definitely try it when there's less pressure on time.

I had a great meal here during the August bank holiday. Many other pubs in the area were not offering meals on a Sunday evening but luckily for us The Golden Key was open and taking bookings. Double bonus was that the food we ate (plaice and cod) were delicious and fresh tasting and the service was friendly and efficient. It wasn’t my 1st choice but it could well be in the future. Thank you for a lovely evening!

Excellent little pub which has a large car park at the rear. Slightly off the main road but better for that reason. It has outdoor seating and dogs are welcome.. an excellent atmosphere and delicious menu which isn't trying to be a fine dining experience but offers good food, well cooked and presented, I thoroughly enjoyed our meal we both had fish and chips, followed by a yummy ginger ice cream. Make the effort to go to this pub its definitely worth ķ

Food was well presented and the chips were probably the best part. 👌 If we had have had our dogs, they would've been welcome which would've been a bonus. Staff were very friendly and polite. We didn't stay so can't comment on rooms etc. A great destination just to have food , and pretty central if you were staying, to be a short drive from some tourist attractions .

Last minute decision to go out with My Wife and Daughter for a Saturday evening meal. We love frequenting the pub when we can. The location and feel of the pub is awesome. The service and friendly colleagues is spot on. The food, starters, mains and deserts were fantastic, cheese board too. We will definitely be back.
