Two friends and I dropped into this pub on our way home and what a little gem it is! The staff were really attentive and friendly and the food is superb. Great choice and large portions. The set menu is excellent value. Would highly recommend

Visited several times over recent years,usually after visiting the local arboretum/plant nursery. Went for Sunday lunch and the food/service was nothing short of fabulous. My only gripe is that it's an hour and a half drive away so I can't just pop in when I feel like it! 😊. Well done to everyone wh

Found this little gem on the way home from York last year & had to make it a stop off again today! The food is amazing ... thought I was the 'gravy Queen', but apart from serving great food, this chef really knows how to make gravy to die for!!

Had a lovely family Sunday lunch all 9 of our party of varying ages all had different main courses all came out at the same time all were hot and all were delicious very well done chef and kitchen staff couldn't fault the service either would recommend this place and will be goin back
