By far the best (and my favourite) pub I was in during my entire vacation! The sweetest owners and staff, an amazing pub in itself, the most welcoming vibe, + amazing food/drinks. Well worth every cent and minute spent there. Looking forward to finding my way back ASAP!!

Lovely cosy atmosphere surrounded by fairy lights and the food was absolutely delicious. We were a party of 7 and all meals and desserts were exceptional. Will definitely dine here again!

Came upon this pub, apparently originally built around Henry VÌII's time. Lunchtime food is really yummy. Must go back with friends and family.

The Bell is a hidden gem. My wife and I have eaten in many places and found the food here excellent. We were surprised that half the menu is fish dishes which is unusual for restaurants not by the sea. However we enjoyed it enormously, everything was perfectly cooked and the flavours wonderful. If you travelled an hour just to eat here, you would not be disappointed! Warmly recommend.

The Bell is a lovely old pub in Smarden. The food is delicious and the portions are adequate. The staff are friendly and the garden setting is beautiful and well thought out. It is a very relaxing experience. The dining room inside is very comfortable

Nice quiet pub, perfect or an impromptu lunch (although I was there on a Wednesday lunch time. For all I know it could be heaving on a Friday night). Food was excellent and the staff are nice and friendly.

We kindly booked a table for six people, as the place is very popular and there are a lot of people, but there is only one cook. The waitress is also very nice, the burgers are delicious. The interior is interesting, antique

Staff are fantastic - friendly and helpful. Food is good and well priced. Building is a cute old fashioned pub but not one of those ones that’s falling apart - definitely recommend, we even went off our route a little bit and you should too!
