Great food! Very traditional authentic Afghan type food. We tried some curries, kabali rice chapali kebabs ( you get 3 huge kebabs and giant naan per portion and the highlight the huge family platter. Everything was full of flavour with lovely balance of herbs and spices. Very attentive service from all the staff as we had a table of 16. The restaurant does tend to be popular so book ahead or you will have to wait. It’s a casual spot full of families etc nothing pretentious but the food is spot on full of flavour with quality tender meat and flavours.

A good option to try Kazakh / Uzbekh / Afghan mildly spiced food. Lively vibe and generous portion size.

Food was great! Service was 8/10. The atmosphere was meh, staff and cooks were shouting with each other - it wasn't relaxing enough..

The food was great and affordable. The family plate is the way to go, if you’re in a group. The mango lassi was also great. Highly recommend.

Food so good you willingly get cheated and walk through skid row to get to it. We have a lot of experience eating curries in Asia, North America and Europe, and yet when we tasted the lamb curry with afghan naan, we knew that no curry we have eaten could come close to this. The chicken biryani they served was almost as good, and so was the chicken Jalfrezi combined with pallow rice. Whether it be Sri Lankan, Pakistani, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, nothing beats Zaitoon. It's too bad I don't live in Europe or I would come here every day. Please note that Zaitoon is located in the most sketchy part of Slough, about 10min bus ride from Heathrow, and you will be walking past boarded up shopping malls, garbage on the streets, and lots of young men loitering around looking at you menacingly (For you North Americans kinda like Detroit), but the food is so good you have to go. Just make sure you finish and leave the area before dark. My family and I got diarrhea that night, but after emptying our colons we just opened up the takeout boxes and continued eating. Also when I said "cheated", what I meant was that the waiters/waitresses clearly knew we ordered too much because we didn't know portion sizes (we ordered approx 5kg of food for 3 people, e.g. they didn't tell us a side of naan is approx 2ft x 1ft or 65cm x 30cm), but they said nothing to warn us. But after digging into the first bite it was so good we had no regrets. We packed it up and took it on a plane to Switzerland because we couldn't bear to leave it in England. Pro tip, any clothes you are wearing while in Zaitoon, need to be washed ASAP or you will walk around for 2-3 days smelling like curry.

Went out with four families Table was reserved so there were no issues with seating etc. ample space and table was set up nicely. Afaaq greeted us and was at our table the whole time. Served us very well. Anything we needed was brought to the table promptly. Service was outstanding as he made sure we had everything piping hot including nans. Which is rarely normally nans often go cold if left all at once. Lamb Karahi was 5 stars Chapli kebabs 5 stars. Platter was decent however some components of it were but bland and didn’t have much flavour in terms of spices etc. however saving grace ti all that was all meat was tender and cooked. Kabuli pilao was decent Their tea at the end was very good Falafel and humus were ok as well. Ambience Atmosphere Seating Service Space Quality of food Quantity of food All of the above were spot on. And it was topped up by personable service provided by amazing afaaq Real credit to the restaurant If you are local and don’t mind prices then this place is worth a visit. Overall everyone was happy from ages 11 all ye eta up to age 60. Everyone went home happy.
