I have frequented this pub many times over the years but more recently have noticed a big difference in the atmosphere, cleanliness and the food!
Popped in for lunch today, the staff were inviting the music was great, food was tasty and very well presented with a prompt service.

The interior of the Golden Cross is decorated in a traditional style, with exposed beams and wooden furniture. There is a large bar area, as well as a number of smaller seating areas.

Went here for a Sunday lunch as a group of 7 and am always worried as a vegetarian but this place had a delicious veggie/vegan tart with all of the trimmings! Really fresh and we got veggie gravy too! Loved it!
Back here today for my third consecutive Sunday roast - can’t fault the service and the food was amazing - the beef was amazing and plenty of seasonal veg and endless sauces! Will be back!

Fantastic food and drink, the team here really go the extra mile. We often eat here for the lunch deal (burger and a pint) and the DJ nights on a Friday which is a really good night out.
