Fantastic place to stop, just half a mile off the roundabout of the A17. Gluten free chips, gluten free fish, gluten free battered mushrooms, gluten free onion rings, the absolute works. Crispy, light batter not dripping in oil. Crispy light chunky chips. Gluten free VINEGAR!!! Very allergen aware I
Love Scoffers, staff are always friendly and go more than out of their way to make you feel at home. Recommend dining in, food is cooked there and then for you, always hot and plenty of it. Deserts are lovely too.

Cooked fresh as you order. Quality fish in crunchy batter with perfectly cooked chips. Fabulous quality food at very competitive prices. Better than a lot of coastal vendors we have visited. One of our favourites. Thank you Scoffers..
Even though this is a busy fish and chip shop the restaurant is lovely. The staff are friendly and the food cooked to order is always delicious. We have been coming here for years it's that good.

Brilliant chippy this. Working in the town and not knowing the area, tried the one next door first, which was a lot more expensive. The staff at Scoffers are all very friendly, foods lovely, can’t ask for more.
A chippy that does salads, yeah, if you're normal like me, it might sound strange ( because it is lol ) the food and service were spot on. I had fish and chips my friend had scampi and salad, we both enjoyed our meals and will definitely be returning in the future.
Popped in for a quick takeaway. The quality of the fish and chips was excellent, as was the requested smaller portion size. Friendly helpful staff definitely recommend this restaurant.
I enjoy sitting in the small seated area attached to the side of the takeaway. The staff are always very welcoming and polite. The side salad is very good.
