Jorvic spotted this pub in the centre of Slaithwaite ( pronounced Slawit). Advertises its dedication to real ale. They do indeed sell a broad selection. I had a pint of Portobello from London and loved it. Jorvic then spotted a Stout from Scarborough brewery which was a new one to me. Good location on the crossroads and opposite the narrow canal. Not all of us liked the inside, maybe needs a small update but 5* for real ale.

From what I remember, this place was decent, Staropramen on draft. I'm not going to lie, it was late on and had been on Spaten Pilsner in Manchester, jumped off the train, and called in for a night cap and to have a wee. I will be calling back in again as passed thr place a few times when cycling along the canal 👍

I went here yesterday with 2 friends. I think this was the fifth pint on our "rail ale trail" so we were already quite merry by this time. It was a good little pub with a decent selection of ales and lagers. It was clean, had sanitizer at the door and table service. Reasonable prices as well. On a side note, If you're not from round here you'll never believe how they pronounce "Slaithwaite"...

Love this place. My favourite pub in the village. We always come here when visiting our daughter. Such a friendly place. Lovely selection of drinks. Nice little beer garden out back. It does snacks but not meals as far as I'm aware. Would recommend a visit
