From the moment we met Lee our stay was perfect. Because my wife wasn't to well, Lee upgraded us to a premium room. WOW. We only booked for the one night, but we liked it that much we stopped another night. We had a meal on the first evening, perfect. The staff were excellent, nothing was a problem, so helpful and friendly. When we go back to Skipton we will definitely be going back to the Curious Fox to stay and to eat. People of Skipton, if you haven't tried the Curious Fox, wake up and get down there. Thanks Lee, Jeanette, Freddie and all the staff. 😊👍
Fantastic place. Great modern atmosphere. Rooms were modern and well designed. Staff were fantastic. Breakfast was brilliant. Literally have no complaints. I wish you all the best!
Enjoyed a delicious Sunday lunch today - food was excellent and restaurant had a great atmosphere. All the good bits of a pub without being dark. Would absolutely come back for a meal next time we’re in Skipton. Service was great as well. Can’t fault it.
It was our first visit here. We cannot fault the place.
There was a delay in us getting our starter. They were so apologetic and gave us a couple of free drinks. They again, apologised and made us feel so important.
The food was amazing. You can tell that so much thought goes into the menu.

My husband and I have had a lovely time at the curious fox. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Food was fantastic and value for money. All the staff were extremely helpful couldn't do enough to help. I certainly will be having another visit sometime soon. Special thanks to Lee and Karen.
Had brief visit to Skipton last weekend (4th June) and chose The Curious Fox to stay overnight and What a Choice, right from arriving we were made to feel very welcome. Room was beautiful spacious , clean and very comfortable. Lee, Jeanette and all staff were extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Hotel, food and hospitality was second to none we would thoroughly recommend staying here and are already making arrangements to revisit again for longer with friends soon. Thank you again Lee for everything looking forward to seeing you all again soon.

We went for a meal in the restaurant. The food was delicious, I'm a vegetarian and albeit there were only 2 options on the menu, the leek and goats cheese tart I chose was absolutely amazing, as was the side of mac and cheese I had.
My family enjoyed their steaks, pigeon and burger main courses and the desserts were delicious too. The prices aren't cheap, my veggie course was 19.50 but I know ingredient prices have shot up so maybe this isn't so expensive anymore...
The decor is lovely, it's high spec but cozy. The only criticism I have, and this isn't significant, is the large table legs are in an awkward position, right in the middle of where you put your legs so you have to sit with a leg either side of the metal protrusion.
All in all I'd definitely return.
We stopped by for dinner on Saturday (with no booking) and really liked this place. The food was great - I wasn’t convinced that I’d like the “around the world” concept but it actually worked really well. Only feedback would be that the meat/fish itself was slightly under seasoned for my taste but still really nice. Particularly liked the wood pigeon and pistachio “Bakewell”. The waiting staff were all really nice, as was the owner who was making a great effort to say hi to everyone. Good wine list at reasonable prices. I really enjoyed the summer house playlist, especially sat outside on a lovely summer evening. All in all a lovely evening.
Came without booking, Lee sorted us out with a table, Lee and the staff were very attentive and food was amazing. It would be our regular place to eat, but we are going back home to Southport tomorrow.
