The Royal Shepherd - Skipton - Photo album

Enjoyed our visit to this pub in Skipton. The staff were so nice, the food was really good. We had their burgers, special menu lasagna and fish n chips. The burger was monstrous, could’ve been juicer 😅 Classic pub food tastes. Would recommend.
Visited for lunch after spotting signs for following the arrows to this great pub. Have to say we were not disappointed. We ordered the burger and for the little one had chicken nuggets. This was possibly the best (also biggest) burger we had ever eaten. Not forgetting the fluffy but crispy chips to
Can't believe we've never found this gem of a place until now. The steak and kidney pudding ( which weighs in at 16oz) is probably the best I've ever had, everything home cooked and fresh. Beer was in perfect condition and very favourably priced. Staff friendly and attentive. We finished our drink
Popped in for a pint and early dinner. Wasn't overly busy, but with only one bar attended, it was pretty slow to get a pint, but after the wait the Timothy Taylor was well kept and held its head well. Again, it is a lengthy wait to order our food. We ordered from the specials board the lasagna and T
Really nice pub off the beaten path, pleasantly surprised it wasn’t packed with tourists. Lovely indoor area and sunny outdoor area. Great selection of beers on tap, tried a rhubarb cider and it was absolutely gorgeous, not too sweet like fruity ciders can be. For food there’s a great selection of p
Nice well run traditional pub. The chef here is outstanding and it is well worth a visit for this alone. The care and attention was obvious in our meal. The beer was exceptionally well kept too. The landlord here is doing a great job, and has great staff. Everything about this establishment screams
Had a one night stay in Skipton and chose The Royal Shepherd for our evening meal. It was a quiet Wednesday night, but wasn't disappointed with our food We both had gammon, egg and chips served with mushrooms, onion ring's, coleslaw and fried tomatoes, the portion size was massive, couldn't finish a
Beautiful pub, full of character and a welcoming staff. Had the steak pie, local produce, fresh vegetables and lots of gravy.
Nice welcome, good food. Quiet but it was only Thursday & a beer festival was on in the Town Hall! Lovely real kidney in the pud!! Yum 😋
Lovely location next to the canal. Warm welcome. Good range of ale's. Dogs welcome. Sadly for us food hours have been reduced recently but we were advised of a pub that would do a good meal. The only pub in the country of this name. Well worth a visit.
