Called in our way back from Leeds.Trying to find a pub/restaurant that served food. Glad we found this restaurant. The food was great the only exception was the Brocolli was a bit too hard. I had the HUNTER’S CHICKEN SCHNITZEL topped with a BBQ & tomato sauce, crispy bacon and melted Cheddar, served with triple-cooked chips (1337kcal). My wife & two daughters had the TURKEY BREAST* topped with a maple bacon crumb, served with stuffing and chicken gravy (1828kcal). For Dessert we had THE HONEY POT (V) Milk chocolate honey pot filled with silky chocolate mousse, smooth honey and crunchy honeycomb, served with a buttery biscuit and honeycomb ice cream (693kcal) Never had this before it was #AMAZING. My daughter had VANILLA CRÈME BRÛLÉE (V) with home-baked shortbread biscuit 462kcal Will be back again when next on a visit to Yorkshire .

First time visit, and very enjoyable. Staff very friendly and efficient, which created a nice ambience. Food was excellent. My sister and I had the chicken and pancetta pie, with fresh vegetables and proper mash, whilst our cousin had fish and chips. Delicious.

We where a group of 6 ladies on a barge holiday and had not booked and took the chance on being fitted in. The staff where absolutely wonderful - we where served by Beth, Kris, Arleta, Derek. Your staff where outstanding and it should be recognised - nothing was too much trouble and it had been a long hard day for that team and still they carried on smiling - I am in the hospitality industry and know how difficult things are at present. Your staff at The Bay Horse are a credit to your company. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. We had a wonderful time and I have recommended to friends as we don't live too far away. Many thanks team Bay Horse !!!

The bay horse was nice enough it being a canal side pub, but it was nicer when it wasn't a chain pub about 15 yrs ago. Nothing wrong with anything about the pub but you could tell it was a chain pub straight away. Staff were great, food was good enough for a chain pub. We probably will return at some point as we like canal boating and it was handy being right on the canal. Some little nick knacks on the tables or something niche on the menu would make this less generic.

The Bay Horse is a lovely homely welcoming pub/restaurant with really friendly and attentive staff. First off they checked for any allergies in the group which I thought was a really good starter for 10 and something I've ever been asked before. Other establishments take note. We're light eaters so starters was shared and they were happy to provide additional plates etc to accommodate. The main meals were in part also shared and again they went out of their way to accommodate us. Both starters and main were cooked to absolute perfection. The butcher must also be a good one because the meat was just soooooo good. Really nice cuts. A special mention must go to Derek our waiter who was just so attentive. Not overly fussy but not neglectful either. Absolutely spot on as were all the other staff. It's rare we find somewhere that ticks all the boxes and so it's even more rare for us to leave a tip which we did and felt was well earned. So good we booked straight away for the next day seeing as we were staying locally for the weekend. We stay in the area each year so we will most certainly be back again next year. Thank you Bay Horse staff and we'll see you next year.

Nice welcome. I had left my glasses at home so our lovely waitress found me a pair to use. We ordered sirloin steaks and they were delicious. 1 with chips and peppercorn sauce, the other with bernaise sauce and salad. Also ordered 2 cappucinos which were served with a little flapjack. Possibly the best tasting coffee I have had in a long time. Really enjoyed my first visit and will be returning.

Popped by here after a terrible country pub experience shortly before somewhere else, this place though was much more like it, friendly and welcoming, lovely interior and super chill. It was pretty expensive, for a medium Malbec and a pint of larger it was £13.50. Which is a little mental but the sofa area was super relaxing. Didn't eat just passed in for one drink so can't comment on the food

We called in to the Bay Horse on Sunday for something to eat. We order our food and drinks which arrived not long after, it was a beautiful cooked Sunday roast, the trio of meat was cooked really well, reasonable priced. The lady who served us was polite and we had a really enjoyable visit. 👍

Lovely pub situated on the canal, can eat inside or outside, staff lovely and friendly, very accommodating with baby, food lovely, not a massive choice of sandwiches or light snacks for lunch however can recommend the steak sandwich. I have been here a few times now and never been disappointed

The best meal I've had out since lockdown. I had the soup and Lasagne. Both were fantastic. Great portions and the food was pipping hot 😋 the service was excellent also. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. They've introduced a new app to order through and this was very effective with incredibly quick service to follow. The app is optional so you can order the traditional way also. I'll be going back on a regular basis!

Very dog friendly (water and treats on tap!) and great food choices for the humans. A nice 40 min walk from Skipton centre makes this place worthy of a visit whilst enjoying some of the canal side wildlife en route.
