Lovely cafe. The food was very nice. The veggie chili was quite spicy but really really nice! Lasagne was great too and a very tasty salad on the side. Not enough room for cake but they did look fab
Great little place.Good menu with plenty of variety.Helpful friendly staff.Good to have a cafe in Skipton that stays open to a reasonable time as strangely most of them close at 3 or 330?!
We really enjoyed our brie and cranberry panini, carrot cake and drinks... reasonably priced too.
Would strongly recommend; I went in because I very specifically wanted a light meal like a sandwich or something; a customer dropped a coffee cup while I was in there and the staff didn't so much as tut or sigh and immediately came to clean it up. The food I ordered was exactly what I was looking for, was extremely tasty and was ready in what can't have been a lot over 5 minutes.
Ticks all the boxes for me!
Nice coffee and bacon & sausage sandwich for a break on a Wednesday market day.
A great time had by all! A rainy day, 6 kids for the day, what to do? Called and a couple of hours later, silence ensued as everyone focussed on creating their pottery designs interspersed with slurps of milkshakes and munching on tasty treats. Thank you coffee and clay x
We ended up going in two days in a row as we couldn't do the clay painting on the first day. It's a great place for all ages. However, especially if you have children. My son lost interest in painting after 20 minutes. However myself and my wife were cutting it fine to finish by the 1 1/2 hour limit. We would definitely go again.
Came here today. I must admit it, it is on the dear side, but the food, drink, and service was very good. The homemade lasagne and hazelnut latte I had was especially nice.
Arriving at this place towards the end of the day, and in need of a special-diet meal, I received a warm welcome and my request was met happily. They were willing to adapt a menu item without any hesitation. The food was quickly served and was extremely well presented and very tasty.
The cafe is a quirky mix of actual cafe and clay/pottery work (for example painting pots aimed at children) but the mix seems to work.
In line with current situations, the establishment was Covid19 secure.
I would happily go again.
Great value, great cafe to visit with young children too. Been here several times and always had great food and drinks from delicious scones to full meals
Welcome was lovely.
They take card payment and sit in or take away option.
Service is efficient given how busy at lunch time on a Skipton Market day in the rain.
Food was lovely, soup was very nice and warming.
It might have been 11 degrees on the mercury but it was a cold, cold wet day.
There were toilets but did not use them so can not speak to the cleanliness.
If I was going to look for a fault then it would be this:
Limited tables and order at a counter as a single diner or group of 1 can be stressful as someone might take your table while you are in the queue.
It was not a problem and I would assume the person taking the order who needs the table numbers sorts this out.
I only mention this as I have had awkward situation of returning back to my table to find it occupied.
The staff all spoke to me so I can not think it will be a major issue in this friendly place.
Lovely shop. Like the Victoria sponge.
the chef bakes the best cakes I have ever tasted in my life, if you ever want to visit a creative place where you can have a good cup of coffee and enjoy a wonderful cake this is that space, without a doubt coffee and clay my favorite place to delight my palate with exquisite cakes.
Fantastic food and drinks. Service was super friendly and welcoming. 100% recommend. Very reasonable prices.
This is a nice friendly cafe with nice food but I think quite expensive. I had a sausage on a barm with one slice of cucumber with half a cherry tomato and this cost almost £6, it was nice but should have been half the price, cup of tea was nice. My wife enjoyed her soup (leak and potato) again very expensive for what she got. One major problem is with the table tops, they are very sticky, the style of the table has a painted top and the wood has lots of cracks and spaces that I guarantee the tables hold more food than the actual cafe, the surface is so sticky that we could not even slide the plates on it, the tables definitely need changing for some that can be cleaned properly.
Nice little cafe where you can also paints pots if desired. We both had walnut cake and delicious hot coffee just as we like it. Toilet is up steep stairs so not very disabled friendly. Lady who served us was attentive and friendly. Clean and tidy environment.
A quaint and atmospheric cafe with friendly staff and good food.
We randomly popped in on a Sunday whilst travelling through Skipton and wasn't disappointed. The food was tasty with a good selection. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pottery painting was a cool vibe. I'd definitely visit again
Excellent! Speedy service, fantastic food! We had the savoury muffins with salad and soup - absolutely delicious! The sandwiches were beautifully home made and everything was fresh :) The children’s ‘lunchbox’ was perfect. Great value for money!
Stopped for lunch....lots of food envy from the plates being served!! Had an excellent toastie!!!
