Well, what can I say...6 of us girls had a weekend here. Bit of a mix-up on arrival but soon sorted, and our rooms looked straight on to the canal. Rooms are a bit tired, bathrooms defo need refurbishment, new showers needed desperately but saying that, the new bar area is fabulous, lovely restaurant right on the canal. Saturday night was fab and lots of fun all down to 'Mr Entertainment' Jamie Walker! Had the room rocking! Singing and dancing, need to update your set list,(and your jokes!) Jamie. He was the life and soul of the hotel. We loved it! A big thank you also to Manager James. Just new into the job and I'm sure he'll make a fantastic job of it. Such a lovely man, had a laugh and a joke with everyone. We will definitely be back.... ๐๐
The building doesn't look much from the outside, when you get in the place is beautiful. The room we had looking over the water where the canal boats go, then the view was fantastic. The room it's self spot on nothing to complain about. Very spacious and the bathroom beautiful.
The breakfast service was well what can I say but we got shown where our table was and shown where the cereal, breakfast drinks, hot food and the pastries. You can leave the hotel and go round the back of the hotel up step and you are on the path by the canal.
There is swimming bath gym and a restaurant. No complaints will stay again.
Stayed for 2 nights with a canal view room. Great location with plenty of parking and right on the canal with amazing views at the rear. Staff were very helpful and friendly, breakfast was great but the room was a little dated and in need of updating.
Spacious room that was clean and had everything required. Service was a little slow in restaurant on a busy Saturday night but food was reasonable. Lovely walk along the canal into Skipton.
Me my better half and some friends stayed over last weekend absolutely great and we will all be back ASAP. Thank you to all involved in our brilliant stay.. loved it..
Called in today for a bite of lunch.
Offered choice of seats in the restaurant over looking the canal.
Service was first class, as was the food cooked to order.
All in all great value and location.
Will definately be revisiting.
Excellent place to visit. Great location and the views are amazing.
Travelled from Leeds for afternoon tea . The staff was amazing and couldn't do enough .the food was fantastic
Great atmosphere. Will visit again . Thank you all.
Yes had a good time, room lovely big. Out side the door in corridor a nasty smell. But a part for the very good. Food excellent, Breakfast out standing. Definitely come back.
The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The dinner food was great. Breakfast could be more diverse and in some parts of the hotel, you could feel some funny smells.
Just back from another one night stay here. We have stayed several times and always enjoy it. Noticed new furniture in the lounge area which looked nice. Our rooms were lovely although actually too warm for us this time. A fridge and or bottled water would be a good improvement in the rooms. Leisure facilities are a little outdated but fit for purpose. Corridors are a little old fashioned too. The evening meal menu has a good choice and we all enjoyed our meals although dessert portions were a little bit small. Breakfast has everything you'd expect including jam and butter all self service despite what other reviews say and no I've no reason to lie. Staff were pleasant and helpful and went out of their way to get a toy back to us our granddaughter had left in the lounge. My only annoyance is our struggle to get a canal side room despite being such a regular customer. There are views of the hills on both sides but the road side can be noisy especially if you want to open a window. We will come stay again.
Were passing and on the spur of the moment popped in for morning coffee. Comfortable surroundings and were tempted to a croissant. Very enjoyable and will repeat again.
Spent a lovely weekend here. The hotel also had a coach trip one anniversary and a birthday during our stay. We took our granddaughter for the first time, she loved every minute of it. Would of liked a towel rail or radiator to dry our swimwear in our room apart from this everything great.
We stop here when visiting family in Keighley a stone's throw away. It's a really nice hotel, good food in restraint. Breakfast is self service but replenished regularly so it's quite fresh. I had one slight problem, on one stay. I asked for poached egg for breakfast, the waiter forgot, I asked again, the Chief forgot. 20 munutes went by before being served on the third request. Unfortunately my wife had finished her breakfast. But this was the only priblem. The breakfast coffee is good. Rooms are standard but comfortable. We choose a canal view at a slightly dearer tarrif but that's us. If you don't want to dine in, there's a pub with good food not a few minute walk. There's also a small shopping area also very close. McDonald's, Lidl, a Range, and other similar stores also within a five minute walk.
Bit tired. Housekeeping could be improved. Food 3 star on night no vanilla ice cream, no cheese cake, no french/ dijon mustard and no jacket potatoes. Food at breakfast excellent.
We stayed here while on a coach trip. Rooms were pleasant, towels changed once during our 4 night stay. Beds were tidied each day. The room was clean, slightly dusty in places (bathroom door frames). Refreshments topped up each day. The breakfast and evening meals were incredible! 3 courses each night were spot on and such ample portions. On our last evening we asked the staff to pop out to thank them and weโre surprised at the age for the chef, such a young lad to be turning out food of such high quality! The bar was always staffed and the tea and coffee downstairs was really welcome. Thank you ๐
