Words cannot describe how good this place is. We decided to have our wedding reception here it is that good. All our guests were very impressed and the staff were such a delight. The food is spot on and there is plenty of it!

Last night my son had a fit while waiting for his food at this restaurant, the staff are an absolute credit to this place! They were all incredible.
They made sure the ambulance staff could get through while still making sure the rest of our party were ok.
They even sent my food in a box so I wouldn't be hungry at the hospital!

We called in with no reservation. We were greeted warmly and shown to a large booth. I ate a burger and my partner chose a pizza. Both were enjoyed and we cleaned our plates. The pirate theme looks great. Parking is available across the road in a large carpark that's free after 6.

For a starter, I ordered tacos for 2. It's very tasty.
For the main, i ordered the steak fajitas and was asked how I liked my steak cooking - rare, please. When it arrived, it was not rare. The presentation was really good. Unfortunately, the 3 tiny wraps were far too small for the size of the meal, a real letdown. I ordered an extra 4 but still had loads left. My partner ordered the BBQ Pull Pork. The serving is great, but enough wraps. It was a bit disappointing that there was no real ale today, but there were 4 lagers, an ipa, and 1 cider on tap. The decor based on a pirate ship was nice and nice choice of music. Parking is available outside in the pay and display across the road.
My partner and I ate here twice on a very recent trip to Skipton (august bank holiday weeekend 2023)
Both times the staff were amazingly attentive, nothing was too much trouble.
The service was quick, the food was hot and delicious (beef taco’s were epic)
They also cater excellently for gluten free and are very aware of cross contamination so for me that was a relief.
Can’t recommend the place enough just a shame we live too far away to rush back!
They remind you of what good food and good customer service should be!

After a long day of hiking, Calico Jack restaurant & bar was the best place to stop by.
Inside of the restaurant is pretty cool,it felt like we were on the ship, customer service on point. The black pearl burger was amazing, and chips were salty and crunchy! Definitely worth a visit! :)
Found this gem on the last evening of our trip, which is unfortunate as I'd have brought my girls here a few times!
Fun, welcoming staff. Tasty, hearty meals for kids. Delicious food for me. Reasonable prices. Nothing not to recommend about this place. If we're back to skipton, we'll be back here.
A real hidden gem, but if you love your food it is a must visit destination.

An unusually good dining experience for me as I have an intolerance to any products from cows which many restaurants have difficulty accommodating. After an initial discussion with our server, the chef/owner came to our table to discuss options. What he produced as a result was outstanding. The service provided, the food and the ambience were excellent making a drop-in meal at a previously unknown restaurant a special experience. Highly recommended!
Absolutely lovely food and staff. Highly recommended and the decor is very pirratical which my son loved. Lovely idea to have snakes and ladders on the back of the kids menu. Not local to the area but would come again without hesitation.
Everything about this restaurant is excellent. The food, staff and the cocktails. We asked for off the menu cocktail drink and they were happy to get us one. The burger was amazing.
Great staff, were amazing with our little boy. The decor impressed him too he kept finding cool pirate themed decorations and loved it. The food and drinks were also on point. It's a very atmospheric restaurant and makes a fun change from the ordinary. Little on the pricier side but I'd say it was worth it.
My daughter and I thought we would try Calico Jack’s takeaway service for a change and both ordered Chimichanga. It was absolutely delicious with generous portions of spiced chicken, pepper, and onions in a tortilla with cheese, accompanied by guacamole, sour cream and fries. You do need a hearty appetite to cope with this meal but I can recommend it unreservedly. Very reasonable prices compare favourably with other takeaways and we will certainly be trying other dishes from the menu on future occasions when cooking seems like a chore.
We went 21st Jan 2024 for my sons 9th birthday. There were 6 adults and 3 kids. It was amazing. All food fresh, out together and over all a lovely experience. We will definitely be back.

We had fantastic family dinner in Calico Jack. Outstanding service, lovely drinks, tasty food. All mains we had were absolutely amazing, hefty portions. We thoroughly enjoyed our time.
Been in a few times for special occasions and it's always been fab! Fun and whimsical restaurant, perfect if you love pirates and nautical things. Great place to take kids, my nephews love it here
Only in Skipton for a short time but so pleased we tried Calico Jacks, staff were friendly and welcoming, the food was hot, fresh and plentiful and the cocktails were... great.
Had the Greek God pizza on the early bird menu, delicious and a bargain price too. Staff were polite and attentive, food arrived quickly after ordering.
Place was nice and definitely worth a try the atmosphere was fun buy the food could be better I had the £30 steak which was cooked perfectly but it wasn't worth the price either a better cut off meat or £20 price tag would sort it in my opinion but try for yourself 😁

The restaurant was beautifully decorated. The staff and management did an awesome job. Friendliest people You can meet in the area.
The food was delicious as usual & the price unbeatable too.
