We had lunch here yesterday, I had looked at the menu before visiting and went purposely for the chicken and bacon salad as I am trying to eat healthier unfortunately the grill was broken this option wasn't on the menu and had to choose something else which was great but was disappointed with the lack of healthier options but would definitely go again my husband thought the steak pie was lovely and the staff were very friendly

Found the rear of the pub by accident! Saw the menu and we decided to try it. Service in the bar excellent and the food arrived quickly and was very well presented and very reasonably priced. Food was scrummy and will definitely be back for more along with the very nice beer 🍻 landlord brought our dog some water in a bowl without being asked another great touch! 🐶🐶

Had to rush off but wanted to say my steak was phenomenal! Cooked to perfection! Love your food so much! One suggestion though, the chips were way to big, they weren't like chips. other than that all was perfect, service food and price! X

Came here yesterday for lunch with some friends as we were going to go to busy lizzies but it was too busy (hahaha) the food was amazing had scampi and chips and I must say the chips were the best part can tell they were definitely home made. My friends both had fish and chips and they said that it was lovely.

We've arrived in Skipton by boat and called in for lunch today. We arrived to a warm welcome, great on a damp blustery day. Good, efficient service. I ordered the vegan pie, hoping for something tasty and substantial (you never know with a vegan pie as they range from the sublime to the frozen pinged). I was not disappointed! Great pastry, tasty filling, pleasing to the eye & the stomach! Win win. My partners fish and chips was great too. The dog was welcomed & happy not to be restricted to a tiled floor as in many pubs.

Fantastic So much better inside than out. The staff were so helpful and friendly. We were greeted when we walked in the door and they were attentive throughout and dog friendly too. The real ales were lovely and the food was excellent. The decor is really nice and it's deceivingly big inside. The outdoor area is lovely, with heaters and ambient lighting and there are TVs inside for sport too! Highly recommended.

Great place to have a drink & an evening meal. We are vegan and staying over in Skipton for s couple of nights. A few tasty vegan options - including desserts. Easy to book online, with cosy atmosphere inside & large co free beer garden outside. Staff super friendly. Recommend visiting if you are ever in Skipton.

Great Pub. Ordered the regular sized Scampi and Beef and Ale pie for £12..you could go large for an extra £4 but the regular portion was more than enough..and really well cooked. Staff were brilliant. Recommended.

Went there for a meal around 1pm. Lovely warm welcome and excellent service. The food was great and good portions. Knocking a star off as the jarring rock music that was playing throughout was annoying and ruined the ambiance. It's an odd choice of genre and more suited to nights. I suggest a more mellow playlist to increase customer enjoyment and a relaxed atmosphere during the day.

Booked this place as it was dog friendly and the childish side of me was amused by the name. What an amazing pub this is though! The food was really good, our party had a selection of different foods which each of us really enjoyed. Would highly recommend this to anyone visiting the local area but we booked in advance, I suspect if you want a guaranteed table that would be a must

Booked in for a meal with my wife and two teenage children on Saturday evening. The service was excellent: friendly, quick and lots of smiles. The food was truly excellent: one Caesar salad, one Halloumi salad, lots of chips, one Ploughman’s and one sirloin steak. All cooked to perfection and big portions. I had Treacle sponge for dessert ~ delicious. The ale was spot on, the rugby was on the tv, the bill was extremely reasonable … need I say more?! Definitely a five-star experience all round! Huge thanks to all the staff 🙏🏼

The food here was lovely. We ate out in the beer garden which was covered and heated. It was very busy but had a great atmosphere. The service was excellent, you could see how hard they were working to keep on top of everything. I ordered the Steak and Ale pie and it was delicious from the crust to the filling.

Really nice place. They do a cracking fish butty. The staff are polite & hard working. Quick service too. A fine selection of beers & spirits too. This is a place to revisit next time we return.

Good old fashioned pub with a large modern covered beer garden. It has three well kept real ales and the normal array of lagers etc. The meals looked well priced and people seemed to be enjoying them.

Such a gorgeous pub in a great location, the staff were incredibly friendly and the food was amazing. Dog friendly too! Go for a walk through the park, along the canal and finish here for some food.

The exterior says old traditional pub but on entering it's a lot bigger and contemporary than expected which is not necessarily a bad thing. Good choice of local real ales.

Nice fire burning in the bar! Not a great choice of real ales on our visit as only had Theakston Best available. As we were leaving they were adding Taylor's Boltmakers though.
