We've arrived in Skipton by boat and called in for lunch today. We arrived to a warm welcome, great on a damp blustery day.
Good, efficient service. I ordered the vegan pie, hoping for something tasty and substantial (you never know with a vegan pie as they range from the sublime to the frozen ping
Great place to eat, lots of tasty options and a very reasonable price. Friendly and polite staff. Great outdoor space as well.
Turned up on opening without a booking. Staff happy to accommodate us before the table was needed. Friendly staff, lovely fresh food, good size portions, great value for money. Will return on our next visit to Skipton.
Had a great lunchtime meal with my partner, we had the steak and ale pie, lamb and rosemary pie, they were both excellent,
Fantastic
So much better inside than out.
The staff were so helpful and friendly. We were greeted when we walked in the door and they were attentive throughout and dog friendly too.
The real ales were lovely and the food was excellent. The decor is really nice and it's deceivingly big inside. Th
Great place to have a drink & an evening meal. We are vegan and staying over in Skipton for s couple of nights. A few tasty vegan options - including desserts.
Easy to book online, with cosy atmosphere inside & large co free beer garden outside. Staff super friendly.
Recommend visiting if you are ev
Great Pub. Ordered the regular sized Scampi and Beef and Ale pie for £12..you could go large for an extra £4 but the regular portion was more than enough..and really well cooked. Staff were brilliant. Recommended.
Went there for a meal around 1pm. Lovely warm welcome and excellent service. The food was great and good portions. Knocking a star off as the jarring rock music that was playing throughout was annoying and ruined the ambiance. It's an odd choice of genre and more suited to nights. I suggest a more m
Booked this place as it was dog friendly and the childish side of me was amused by the name. What an amazing pub this is though! The food was really good, our party had a selection of different foods which each of us really enjoyed. Would highly recommend this to anyone visiting the local area but w
The best steak and ale pie I have ever had so full of flavour delicious. Really lovely staff too 5• oh and dog friendly and a roaring fire to boot. Perfect afternoon
Booked in for a meal with my wife and two teenage children on Saturday evening. The service was excellent: friendly, quick and lots of smiles. The food was truly excellent: one Caesar salad, one Halloumi salad, lots of chips, one Ploughman’s and one sirloin steak. All cooked to perfection and big po
The food here was lovely. We ate out in the beer garden which was covered and heated. It was very busy but had a great atmosphere. The service was excellent, you could see how hard they were working to keep on top of everything. I ordered the Steak and Ale pie and it was delicious from the crust to t
Really nice place. They do a cracking fish butty. The staff are polite & hard working. Quick service too. A fine selection of beers & spirits too. This is a place to revisit next time we return.
Good old fashioned pub with a large modern covered beer garden.
It has three well kept real ales and the normal array of lagers etc.
The meals looked well priced and people seemed to be enjoying them.
Such a gorgeous pub in a great location, the staff were incredibly friendly and the food was amazing.
Dog friendly too! Go for a walk through the park, along the canal and finish here for some food.
The exterior says old traditional pub but on entering it's a lot bigger and contemporary than expected which is not necessarily a bad thing. Good choice of local real ales.
Very welcoming staff , lovely food, real fire . Perfect!
Nice fire burning in the bar! Not a great choice of real ales on our visit as only had Theakston Best available. As we were leaving they were adding Taylor's Boltmakers though.
Lovely pub meal, we would definitely go back for food
