Had a birthday lunch here, it was inviting from the outside so we popped in. It got better & better. The staff were spot on. The food & wine just perfect but the atmosphere was amazing and it wasn't because it was busy but the decor the music and you could people watch through the windows. Can't wait to go back. Thank you!

I had lunch yesterday at Le Bistro and there was a lovely atmosphere in the restaurant. The service was excellent & the food was delicious. I can definitely recommend the Bouillabaisse and the Beef Bourguignon!!
We were to we could only have a table for 1 hour so we went in the afternoon to pre-book. They arranged an additional half hour and took our order. When we arrived at 1830hrs were were served immediately with some of the best food I've eaten in a while. The staff and atmosphere were superb. An authentic French experience.
Quite simply the best food in Skipton. It's tucked away down a side street but near the main car park and M&S so easy to find. We regularly go for Sunday lunch and have always been impressed by the quality of the food and the ambience. The waiters and waitresses are friendy, attentive and efficient, the sort of 'proper' waiter you often don't get in the UK. It's as if Michel Roux jr trained them, I wouldn't be surprised if he was helping out in the kitchen too.
Well worth the drive from Burnley for a birthday meal. Excellent food and wine, great service and atmosphere, our favourite restaurant!

Properly cooked French cooking, all the traditional meals are there plus some typical English food.
Well presented meals with a tidy and inexpensive wine menu, and. A couple of real ales!

I had been on a long bikeride on the sunday from leeds and ended up in skipton i was looking for somewere to have some lunch well i notice le bistro it looked nice so i went in well i wasnt disappointed at all the staff attentive the food beautiful and the atmosphere was very nice i could of spend all afternoon in there thank you le bistro i willl defo be back
well what can I say, went in there was a wait. but he said he would have a table ready in half hour if we wanted to go for a drink else where. as promised , table was set when we arrived back. the meal was the the best. the steak was just perfect. mikes sucking pig was just so tasty. defo go back if in the area again

The service was A class with a very relaxing and friendly atmosphere.
The food was very delicious and tasty. Only comment is there was so much oil involved. However, a 10/10 experience.
Safe to say that this is one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. We were a party of 4, and everyone really enjoyed their starters and mains. Service was excellent and food was out of this world, especially my seafood money bag (pictured) and great value at £24 for two courses on a Sunday. Thank you for a fabulous experience! Highly recommended.
Visited midweek and it was quite busy which gave it a good atmosphere. The food was excellent and the service was just right. We are returning with friends it was so good!
Had a fabulous lunch here today. We both got the Seafood money bag, loved it, excellent quality. Then had the home made ice cream, so nice and a lovely liqueur coffee to finish. Staff are really friendly. I would go every week if I lived nearer, we will definitely be back
Great food, friendly staff. All quite young, but was quite impressed by how good they were. Service was great. Would definitely return.
The overall quality of the food was very good, however the service left a lot to be desired.
As an owner of a bar, I fully appreciate the problems of getting staff , and the young staff were doing their best but lacked some basic customer service skills.
Our main course plates were not removed for some 40 minutes after finishing our meal . We never got offered a sweet and the bill had an £18 service charge on it.
We didn't pay it but did leave a small cash tip.
As I say, the food was very good , and I'm sure the service will improve
We had a wonderful meal here Saturday evening, so much so that we went back Sunday afternoon and both meals and experiences were thoroughly enjoyable. We have no hesitation in recommending it. We both really enjoyed every dish we chose and the most memorable were the seafood parcel and seafood soup but every dish was a success. There was a good choice of meat, seafood and veg dishes. The fruit brandy was a theatrical and pleasant end to the meal.

This is thee best restaurant in skipton!
I attended this restaurant 9 months pregnant with my best friend and I had the most fabulous experience!
I called as a last minutes booking and explained I am 9 months pregnant. The staff were extremely accommodating, I was provided an extremely easy access table with a seat with extra cushions for extra comfort!
I was greeted on arrival by a gentleman called Frazier who was most polite, professional, and knowledgeable regarding the food and wine pairing.
A real warm and friendly welcome.
The french savignon blanc paired perfectly with our sea food dishes! Then seafood parcels are divine, and the fillet of plaice with lemon butter was so tender and cooked to perfection.
Service was second to non! A really relaxed, beautifully seasoned and cooked meal. Our server Ellie was also very friendly, bubbly and professional.
After working in the industry for 7 years myself in silver service I can promise you a spectacular dining experience here at reasonable prices. (I didn’t really want to leave!)
By far the best food and service in skipton.
This is our new monthly spot for sure!

Really tasty meal well cooked and pleasantly served. The restaurant is comfortably informal and gives a relaxed environment.
I would have given a five-star review but there were a couple of negatives:
1. Our main courses took a long time to arrive (we had a deadline)
2. One course (though delicious) was not what we ordered.
Despite the above, would still recommend.
Editing to amplify my "really tasty meal" comment above... The food was truly great and tasted like it was prepared by someone who cares and I believe the prices were sensible for the quality.
