We popped into the pub just before we got our train back to Leeds. As we were in a hurry, we asked for something that would be a quick fix with our pint. They suggested nachos and very swiftly had them packed. Great house ale and the yummiest box of takeaway nachos! Thanks for the quick and friendly service ❣️ and a beautiful pub ambience! Will definitely visit again! Also was much cheaper than we'd anticipated!

This really is a little treasure of a pub - mainly due to Carol and the team that run it. I haven't tried the evening food (my own fault for eating beforehand) but you can read the other reviews on that one. The thing for me that sets it apart is the warm hospitality. I was travelling on my own and it was quiz night that evening. I was quite happy to compete on my own but Carol found me a regular team to play with so I ended up having a great night and made some new friends. The bed was perfect and indeed the room facilities in general, and Carol even found somewhere for me to park my bike (no double entendre intended 😊). I'll be back!

I was so fortunate to have found this pub while we were just taking a walk around town. Lovely people. One of the best local beers I've had. Very tasty Nachos! A must try.
