The Talbot Bar - Skelwith Bridge - Photo album

What a wonderful find! Dogs most welcome and the service from cheerful and friendly staff makes it even more so. The food is extraordinary and homemade, being a most reasonable price for the amazing quality and portion sizes. But whether you want a tea, coffee and a snack, or a more substantial meal
Ate at The Talbot a couple of evenings while staying up the hill at Neaum Cragg. The food is fantastic...Real good quality comfort food. Well worth a visit or two.
Good choice on menu but not a crazy list of everything - I think they stick to what they know they do well. Food was very tasty, well presented and cooked well, but it could have been hotter. Good choice of beers and cask ales at the bar.
Lovely old pub where we enjoyed a very tasty roast dinner, which after a walk across the langdale pikes was well received. Draught lager was £6.50 a pint which I thought was a bit steep but the food and service was spot on.
Popped in on the spur of the moment and had a very good meal. Very friendly atmosphere the staff couldn't have been more helpful.
A nice bar, dog friendly and food served is nice. Staff accommodate needs. Expensive but probably in relation to the area.
Amazing food! Really friendly staff. Lovely atmosphere.
Stayed at Neaum Crag and ate here on four separate occasions. Each time our meal was gorgeous. Well kept ales and the staff made us feel really welcome and couldn't have been more helpful. Robert,Ross,Brane,Cameron,Tracy and Chef Steve and all staff thank you.
Lovely pub.with good staff. Prices are average for the area. As it's in such a good spot you could see them over charging so well done for nit doing this.
Very busy on a rainy Wed afternoon. Nice interior. Staff very professional , well trained. Beer nice variety - slightly expensive ( it's a hotel bar !) Nice larger tables for bigger groups. Leather sofas etc in separated seating areas for those wanting quiet chats. Didn't eat.
So glad we booked a table here. Its a shame it was our last night in the Lakes. Food was amazing, very good value for quality and portions. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend. What a great end to a fantastic week.
Had a lovely meal with friends and the service, food, staff were brilliant. I would visit again when in the area and recommend to others 👍
Lovely pub for walkers, esp dog owners - some great food options on the menu as well (in particular the steak and ale pie!). Bar staff put the effort in, although they're rarely busy, likely due to the location and slightly stale atmosphere (and worryingly sticky tables?!). All round nice pub, but n
Could not find fault in the excellent and reasonably priced meal with timely service.
Service started promptly at 5pm and food was delivered to the table without a long wait. A good choice on the menu. Food was delicious - a good hearty Sunday lunch, steak and ale pie, and fish and chips amongst a few. Will certainly be visiting again.
Lovely tasty lunch (ciabatta and cheesy chips) and a good selection of beers and ciders (as well as non-alcohol choices). Staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely visit again.
Dropped in for ciabatta at lunchtime. Never tire of visiting here. Booked in to stay again in Winter. Great place to eat or stay. Pooch always enjoys her chicken breast.
Very welcoming staff opened up for us one quiet evening when they'd shut early. So we went back on later occasion for a family meal after a day's walking. It was very good and reasonable too for the Lakes.
