The Star Inn - Skelmersdale - Photo album

Lovely atmosphere, large menu and great service. Meal deals are good value. Online reservations are easy and fast. Could do with more beer options but otherwise is great.
Me an the wife ate here two weeks ago an we where impressed so we visited again with my daughter an uncle same again food fantastic.
We had the lunchtime special . I had the chicken liver pate and my husband had the makerel pate. For mains we had the steak and gammon. Excellent food quality served beautifully. Good attentive staff. Can't fault it for £10. 00 per person. In fact I have paid three times this for an inferior meal at
Fabulous food and great service would defo go again
Fantastic meal and very much worth the money - in fact, I would have paid more for what I had. The only reason why it lost a star was that the place always could and I couldn't take my coat off. The waitress did close all doors so the draft stopped but the overall place was on the chilly side. I'd g
Passing the star inn yesterday about 3.30pm & we thought let's pop in & have an early tea. We were told they only begin serving food again at 5pm. So we thanked them & left. We got called back by the manager who informed us there was a chef available who was prepared to cook. All the staff were so
We popped in here for a spot of lunch, on the way back from doing some shopping and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Really nice food and drinks. Nice atmosphere and friendly service, would certainly go there again and reccomend it to anyone.
Stopped when passing on route home. On a Saturday 5.30. Staff very friendly. Pub nice and cosy. Food lovely. Especially the baileys and Mars cheesecake that happened to be the special on the night. Couldn't fault it at all.
Quite comfortable, the food is very good, served hot and generous portions. Staff very amiable and appear to respect their customers. Would not hesitate to recommend this place to all and everyone.
Always a good meal enjoyed here in cosy restaurant although the bar area just as good. Service prompt and very friendly. Cutlery could do with updating (i.e. knives capable of cutting meat) but everything else is clean and smart. Menu reasonably varied with usual favourites and good value. Decent Su
Nice country pub but geared more towards food than casual drinks. But does have a good selection of beers and lagers to go with your food. Has a good sized car park .
Lovely food, great service, lovely clean, nice atmosphere

Lovely atmosphere and great food. Staff were really nice.
Family friendly pub, good food, welcoming, lovely service, waitresses and bar staff are great. My friends love the Star Inn and travel to enjoy the vegetarian burger (the best I'm told and she is rather fussy) also my fish chip's and pea's best mate says "I like the food there so we'll go back". I took my fiancée for food and we both enjoyed ourselves. It has a very cozy feel to the place, the staff were polite and friendly. The food was really nice and it wasn't expensive. I would recommend going and will return myself.
Visited here in mid/late October with my lovely woman, after a less than satisfactory experience at a nearby rival restaurant/pub. Some odd seating arrangements and interesting choice of decor but it wasn't a huge issue (me not being the fussy type of course). The service was good mostly and the f
