Nice fish and chips, couldn’t eat it all. We sat inside, had to wait over half an hour for food and we exchanged our cokes for mineral water as they were flat and didn’t taste good. But service was lovely and food tasty so can’t complain! Picture is of the large fish and cod only came in large. Batter was crispy and light, fish tasted lovely and fresh. Curry sauce was 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
We were greeted by Stevie who made us feel so welcome from the moment we stepped inside . We sat on the balcony which is absolutely lovely on a hot day . We ordered medium haddock , small haddock , chips and gravy and chip shop platter with 4 side orders and 4 soft drinks . It came to £53 which for the amount and quality of food was excellent . Staff were friendly and attentive . Stevie constantly checked that we were all ok and had everything we needed . Would definately return . The pattie on the chip shop platter was so tasty . Highly recommended 🙂
Thank you for the amazing service you provided for our large group from Leicester today. A large spacious restaurant downstairs and upstairs. Will definitely visit again.
Had a very enjoyable fish and chip supper here on a Sunday afternoon.
Food service is to the table, but ordering at the bar which I like. Food and drink is reasonably priced, similar to others around but with a proper indoor restaurant,
The restaurant was nicely heated, and had a more luxury feel than elsewhere along the front despite not a significant rise in prices.
Service was friendly and efficient, and couldn’t be more pleasant.
Portion sizes were incredible for the money and we only had a standard fish and chips. The sausage and chips as standard comes with two sausages!
Didn’t get photos of the food but did get a few of the restaurant.
Will be the only place to come back to when I’m here again.
Large and small on the picture. Very nice meal, batter vey delicate. Chips crispy, not soggy. For 2 portions as on the pic plus Pepsi max and tango 0.33 cans paid £19
We were having a stroll around skeg , and it was lunchtime so we noticed this new chippy , so we wandered in , were sat at a table lovely clean room , a bright chandelier, social approachable staff . We ordered the over 60s meals , good value and very good they are too . Haddock and chips followed by sponge and custard . Good value and quality . The toilets are well serviced . There is a take away and outdoor seating to the right of the restaurant area . Enjoyable and relaxing. We shall return .
The food and the staff were excellent, but the restaurant just has no soul or atmosphere at all, it was like eating in a morgue !! Now the one on Cleethorpes Pier is completely different.
We'd been to Papas a previously and had take out which was delicious so we decided to sit in the restaurant with our 6yr old in tow. It was a hot, busy Saturday evening. We ordered our food and waited.....and waited...eventually I had to ask when our food would be arriving as our daughter was starting to become quite agitated as she was very hungry. Once I'd asked the food was delivered straight to our table. It looked and smelt fantastic, however, there was an issue with my fish pie and It had to be returned. The manager was very helpful, he sorted me out a new meal, gave me a full refund and a round of drinks. His customer service skills were superb and handled the situation by going the extra mile. He was the only manager on shift and was covering the whole of the restaurant including take out and bar. We would definitely return as the food and customer service is excellent.
Had to wait a while because there was only one lady on dealing with service, cleanliness, taking payments. She was doing about 100 jobs to be fair, and the portion size was good, and tasted great too! Keep up the good work whoever it is that was on shift, you deserve a pay rise.

I have just eaten the best fish and chip dinner that I have had for a long time.
My daughter and I are not big eaters so we had a large fish meal between us. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful in accommodating this.
The fish was cooked fresh and was beautiful.Everywhere was clean in fact I can’t fault anything about it . Many thanks to the young man called Levi for his kindness and consideration.
We will be back.
Always the best fish and chips at Papa’s! Curry sauce is 👌👌
Papas you've done it again ,,,,,
Me and the Mrs had a face off between papas and the Trawlers Catch and papas won hands down .
Trawlers Catch chips was white and no taste against some great chips from papas , the fish was the same ,, Trawlers Catch was small and bland and papas was large and tasty,,,
The picture is of papas on the left and Trawlers Catch on the right ,, no comparison really ????
We ate in the restaurant and the food is top class. The staff are really friendly and make you feel really welcome.
Would recommend the fish cakes, full of flavour.
Tried the whitebait too for the first time and it was amazing.
Highly recommended place to eat.
