Big large room, pool table in the corner. Outside patio and food being served. One real ale available. Popped in for a beer which was good. Good visit.
Very nice place to go to if your disabled and very dog friendly carvery was nice but needed a little hotter .but other then that very nice place .4 stars .
Had a lovely Sunday Brunch here. There is a choice of 1, 2 or 3 meats and prices were according. Opted for 2 meats with all the trimmings for 11.95. There was Roast beef, pork, turkey and ham with 3 different vegetables and roast potatoes, mashed potatoes and Yorkshire puddings and homemade gravy. Service is friendly and the carvery is refilled regularly so food is fresh, hot and tasty. Well recommended.
Had a carvery, well tasty. We went in a few days later. My partner had a small fish & chips & mushy peas. I had sausages in batter & and chips. I had a side of gravy, wish I hadn't, it was like water, no thickness to it, no taste. Later that evening, I had stomach ache 😫 apart from the disgusting gravy. We can't fault the food
Breakfast was quite nice. The older lady behind the bar was doing all the work and serving everyone but the man with her did nothing. It smells like a proper pub which I don't mind if I'm just drinking. Was a nice experience tho
Lovely garden area. Dogs welcome. Very nice fish and chips, but could have done with a few more chips. Doggy ice cream available.
Good sized portions. Came fresh and fast. Friendly service and seemed clean. Fish and chips was huge and tasted great. Mac and cheese was great and the gammon meal as well. Also had the steak sandwich cant remember exact name but odd mix but nice. Highly recommend the halloumi top notch to share.
Went back for breakfast next morning. Good portions sizes, quick service, tasty food. Overall really nice atmosphere calm, friendly and inviting. Would highly recommend. Full credit to the staff they were more than helpful on both occasions. Right in town centre makes it easy access and fun to get a window seat and watch the chaos outside.
Good breakfast served until 12am although a long wait to be served Carvery looked excellent . Pub was also dog friendly.
I would like thank the staff upstairs in carvery section who stepped in when the lady I was looking after who is in wheelchair had a very serious fit .the young staff were brilliant, the young waiter went above and beyond his duty to get an ambulance, when 999 didn't come to help the lady he ran to find a policeman, the help from 3 staff members I cannot thank you enough,
Me and my boyfriend came in on Sunday evening(4th of June) . The staff were amazing, the food was amazing and the drinks were too. Would 100% recommend
Good food plenty of room with alfresco dining and an area of slot machines, however, such a large pub only had one toilet which was upstairs.
