Only had a drink as wanted a proper chip shop , couldn't fault it though , good selection of drinks , plenty if seating , toilets annoyingly like spoons arw a million miles away uostairs though really good location in town
If you fancy fish and chips on the beach but it’s a bit too windy and chilly, you can’t go wrong coming in here!! Fantastic and so tasty!! Warmer too 👍
Our trip to the jolly fisherman was MADE by the incredible service from our main man ...Jordan!!!! Top notch cocktail skills- if you are visiting you HAVE to get him to make you a cocktail - they are the best!
Food and atmosphere were also awesome!

I myself do not understand the negative reviews. We decide to still eat here as we were tempted by the food. I was interested in trying the chicken wings as the flavours (Bourbon BBQ sauce with crispy onions and spring onions/ Maple BBQ with doritos and cheese). My daughter ordered the fish fingers, mash, beans and then ice cream with chocolate sauce fir dessert (dessert included in one set price). My husband had Hunters chicken with mash and peas.
Loved the service, the gentleman was lovely. Really polite, patient and even helped me shout to ask whether my husband wanted mash or a jacket potato (saved me the trouble of walking back to the table to ask, bless him). Absolute star and fab service, even waiting as i dealt with my crying daughter (she was tired and wanted to ask me for fruit juice).
The we only waited a short while until our food all arrived. Me and my sister had two portions of 10 wings. We loved the wings, absolutely delicious. The were juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. The toppings were generous and my photos don't do it justice. We loved them. My sister loved the maple BBQ too. Only had leftovers as we were so full, loved every bite; everyone from me to my youngest.
The gentleman serving us was so nice and polite. When we asked for dessert to takeaway for my youngest, he apologised for the wait (just 15mins as it was getting busier) and even offered us a spoon to take (a metal one as they had no disposable ones). We left the spoon as we had some available at our hotel room.
Also dessert was worth it,the Belgium chocolate sauce was perfect!
Highly recommended!
Also if you have a bigger appetite or as a group the chicken wings bucket has 25-30 wings approx would be great!
I look forward to coming on our next holiday.
First time visiting Skegness and thought I’d pop into the Jolly Fisherman for a drink and the menu turned out to look promising. Main course was sufficient for my appetite and the brownie was absolutely gorgeous. Definitely will come again and best place to go if you’re not looking for anything too tatty.

My review applies to several daytime midweek visits.
Ideally positioned on the Skegness sea front; a pleasant and internally attractive place to enjoy a reasonably priced pint. Staff are great both helpful and friendly, and contribute in no small way to a generally welcoming atmosphere, which makes it amongst the better venues in town.
Only minor criticism can be a minor lack of tidiness (odd bits of food waste, wrappers on floor, full ash trays outside), but that's no detriment to either staff or the JF, just some of the public can be a bit messy!
Clientele on my visits were decent and, in all, the JF is a vastly superior establishment compared to the local Wetherspoons and several others.
Lovely place nice food but not a lot of it and drinks were pricey. Nice atmosphere loved sitting in the circle windows overlooking the street. Not the cheapest place and if your hungry you would be probably better going elsewhere but we enjoyed our visit
First visit here. Food was very nice for pub food, hot, well presented and tasty. The staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful.
Great pub, staff really friendly, service amazing. Food was lovely we had picky food ( Tapas ) at reasonable prices, very clean and highly recommend
Went here for lunch today, staff were exceptional on a very busy sunny day. Ordered our food, table next to ours had theirs delivered, they looked abit blank when it arrived, I asked them if it was food they had ordered and they said yes and proceeded to eat it. After 15mins asked staff how long our food would be. Table next to us scarpered. Staff realised they had eaten our order, were very apologetic and gave us complimentary drinks. I do not blame the young waitress as they could have told her it wasn't theirs and she was so lovely. Food was delicious and plentiful and will definitely eat there again next time in skegness xx
A great place to eat, The food comes to the table piping hot and very tasty, The staff are friendly and cant do enough for you, I can highly recomend the Carolina reaper and black garlic sauce wings but only if your a real chille lover.

Food was lovely and arrived fast.
Plenty of drinks flowing and had great service by the blonde lady on the bar who unfortunately i never managed to get her name.
But she was very attentive and helpful and provided brilliant service.
