From the time you step in to the hotel you are welcomed with open arms. The owners and staff have got this wonderful hotel spot on. The hearty breakfast is the perfect start to set you on your way exploring the lovely surroundings and then dinner and a chilled drink in the evening finishes off your day just nicely. Thank you to Richard and Caroline and staff in making our stay one to remember. Big hugs The Howard’s xx

Popped in during Boxing Day lunchtime, although no food was being served we stayed for drinks & enjoyed our time immensely. The welcome was most friendly. Thoroughly recommend a visit too for any real-ale fans (like me), I tried the Jennings Snecklifter & Ringwood Porter dark beers, both were in splendid form.

The views to my family room were awesome. I wished we could stay a bit longer. Our room is a bit dated but a great place to rest. The highlight is the restaurant below for great pies and the breakfast uses quality produce. Recommended! Will definitely come back! Seaside walking distance too!

A real locals pub with limited pub menu but very good portion sizes and hearty fare. Rooms are clean ,comfortable and spacious and breakfast is good.A bit dated and could do with a little TLC such as re-whitening grout and silicone around basins and general decor.Good value

Sandwich lunch here yesterday. Absolutely first class. Had to wait a while but well worth the wait. Sandwiches packed with filling and served with chips and a very interesting salad. We ate in the garden enjoying the fantastic weather. Definitely recommended.

Didn’t stay in the hotel. But came in for food. They were fully booked. But they did make room for us when they knew it wouldn’t impact other booked customers. The staff were so nice. And the food. I had steak and kidney pie. Was the best Iv ever tasted. No exaggeration. 10/10 for me. Great traditional friendly venue.

We stopped here with family for a meal while staying at pine lakes. Beautiful scenery and location. The garden and outdoor seating area is bliss on a warm summer day. We had a meal which was top notch 👌 ( I would recommend the fish and chips ) well worth a visit if in the area. Will 100% be returning in the future

We had a lovely 4 day break at this charming pet friendly hotel. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Great pub meals and a fabulous location. Would highly recommend it for a stay in the hotel or even just pop in for pint and a meal. Fab beer garden too.

Popped in here after a day cycling. The staff were very accommodating and courteous, the Marston Pedigree went down a treat. I had the goats cheese and beetroot salad to start with which was fantastic, followed by the burger, I say burger but there was two! One of the best tasting burgers I have had for a while. Can't comment on the desserts as I was too full, but I wouldn't hesitate in visiting again.
