I came here last week for my father in laws birthday, we were a large group on a Saturday night and all the food came quickly and was cooked to perfection. The service is great , such lovely staff! One of the best South asian restaurants I have been to. 10000% recommend🩷

We held my husband's 50th here and it was wonderful. Food was excellent and the staff were lovely. Bit slow topping up drinks but they were eager to please. Thank you!

Due to meeting others, we booked the opening time on Sunday. Unfortunately, they weren’t really ready to roll at opening so drinks were slow and the single waitress became swamped as soon as others started arriving. We’d gone for a Groupon deal, but to be honest the regular Sunday banquet deal would have been cheaper. Food was okay, no real complaints, but equally don’t feel I can shout out about the joy of my options.

I live up the road and finally had a friend to come with me as my family aren't keen on curry. I used a groupon voucher. We come at peak time on a Thursday, it was extremely quiet, the background music kept cutting out, so we could literally hear the other party and their date chatter. Just an example for the 3 stars I gave on atmosphere. It's a beautifully presented restaurant, we was greeted and had a choice of where to sit on new and comfortable seats. The food, magnificent. We always try something different and here, the afghan lamb and madras were perfect. In my utterly honest opinion, I was grateful to take the groupon as it was a bit too pricey for my liking. Between 2 of us, we had 1 drink each, a starter to share, a main each and naan.... £79. Again, its just my opinion but I wouldn't really want to be spending more than £20 per person on a total main and drink. Thank you again royal kitchen, I wish you the best.

UPDATE: I've decided to update my review from a 1 star to 4 stars. I've left my original review below, so that you can see why I initially only gave 1 star. However they have redeemed themselves because of their follow up customer service/care. We were invited back to the restaurant to try again. This time it was just the wife and I so not an event. We were made to feel welcome and the staff were chatty and helpful. The food was delicious. I had crispy chilli chicken as starter and Karahi Chicken for Main and my wife had Vada Pau and Saagwala Chicken for main. All great quality and decent portion size (we had to ask for take home box!) We had a lovely evening and complete contrast to the unfortunate time we had before. Well done for making the effort to change my opinion. OLD REVIEW: Bad experience. I was there for a private event and everything was lovely to start with until it came to waiting for the food to arrive... The rice came and my wife had her meal but mine never arrived... This was a private event so felt bad for those who organised it. 😔 After raising the point they finally brought my order out but of course by that point I had to ask for a new portion of rice because what they had brought out was now cold. The fact that I had to point that out was enough. It really spoilt our evening. I believe they offered to bag it up as a takeaway no charge. But the damage was done. Not good enough considering it wasn't even busy in the restaurant. 😔

I’ve order delivery this evening and it is divine, it Always is divine in this restaurant no matter if it’s takeaway or dine in just beautiful. And staff is so nice. Thank you

...we booked a table on a friday evening (for our anniversary meal) thinking it would be full (was a bit worried when we turned up and it was mostly empty) ...however those worries were soon dispelled - the service was spot on (mania was very pleasant and attentive), once the food arrived even our little one commented on how nice the aroma was ...every dish was well cooked and tasted better than some of the other indian restaurants we've tried nearby (little one like the tandoori chicken as the marinade seemed fresh and tasty compared to some others and it wasn't chilli hot) - so would go back there again!

Lovely food, and I was encouraged to feel at home. A place of great warmth.
