A pub that's full of warm welcomes and clearly run by a great team.
We stopped in for dinner, and service was excellent. Despite our waitress admitting to being new and thus unable to give qualified advice on the menu, she was full of charm and attentive throughout.
The food was a little more patchy, in all honesty. Highs included the truffle cauliflower cheese croquettes to start (a delicious blend of sweet and salt) and the "our burger" which was cooked to perfection and served alongside some fantastic fries. Comparative lows were the chicken burger that was light on flavour, and the dessert special (a toffee apple crumble and custard) which was overdone and as a result extremely crunchy on top.
All forgivable, but for the money (nearing £100 for dinner for two) we did walk away feeling there were better options in the area.
First visit since the new owners and refit. The new layout and decor are fantastic, well styled and give the place a great feel.
The service was spot on, courteous, attentive and quick enough.
The food was sublime!
The starters were so good , fresh, well presented and very very tasty.
The mains were again presented well, big enough portions, fresh ingredients and tasty.
We have already booked in again and this is a fantastic good food addition to the local area and town.
First visit here for the Red Brick Presents Comedy At The White Horse & it was fab. Food was awesome & staff so friendly & helpful.

A really brilliant real ale here on Friday evening. The outdoor seating area is fantastic, and the service is friendly. I recommend for some tasty beer - I’ll be back to taste the food, it smelled delicious!
Class - It's been a while since we've eaten here and the visit was all we had hoped for. We ate the Sunday smoke shack menu and the food was delicious and the service top draw. We asked a lot of questions about the decor and food and our lovely server knew a lot about the business and was really lovely. We were a little bit nervous about taking our new born and pram but it all worked super well. A cracking feed and visit...cheers guys
We come every two weeks for the pub quiz , George , Tori and the team are amazing always such a lovely atmosphere! The quiz is always a great laugh and such a good turnout. Staff are very attentive and great are keeping on top of making sure your glass is never empty! We love it x

The locally brewed Joule's Green Monkey beer is one of the best lagers I've drank in a very long time. You have to try it.
The food is delicious and has enough variety that it caters to many tastes. It's cooked with care and the quality is excellent.
Finally, the staff are all very friendly and welcoming. It's irrelevant how busy they are, they're all happy to serve you kindly and warmly.
Highly recommended, in my humble opinion this is the best pub in Shrewsbury.

Amazing Vegan menu and options. The food tasted excellent, the staff were friendly and atmosphere great. Could not have asked more for a table of 8 of us. We will definitely be back soon. Thank you. 👍
We had hired the venue for an after wedding party and they provided above and beyond service. They organised a live band which was interactive and very upbeat contributing to a lovely atmosphere. The food spread was simple but tasty. The only downside was the location of the pub next to the road however the pub's other attributes and the general service outweighed this completely leading to a delightful evening. Highly recommended for events and parties.
Interesting menu.We ate lunch and had very imaginative salad bowls and of course excellent chips.Lovely staff here,very helpful and friendly. Will definitely eat here again.

We popped in to this lovely pub for some lunch on our travels. The staff were lovely & very helpful. The food was lovely we both opted for the double cheeseburger 🍔 I would highly recommend the White Horse.
