With around 100 miles to drive home I needed a break and was on the look out for a little chef. It began with a warm welcome and chance to relax and freshen up before ordering. The gentle man waiting at table knew his products very well and the chef prepared the plates of food. The quality seemed to be much better than the little chefs down south. It made a great break to have friendly staff presenting great Little Chef meals.
The only thing about that place was the "Heston Red Rage" decor, that was the first time I had seen the new look, (now many years old). Would I use this place again? Most certainly, it was a pleasure to eat there!
This place is like an Oasis to me on my long drive from London to North Wales - very busy but the staff are friendly and the food always looks really good. Only had a coffee but will call again next journey.
Toilets are ok but could do with a facelift - they do get a lot of visitors each day !!!
I visit here at least 4 times a year on a regular trip to Shrewsbury. Always a friendly welcome. Food is served hot ánd quickly. Will certainly be back next time we are passing through.
Stopped off on my way to Aberystwyth last night with my daughter (her first visit to a Little Chef). Food was fab, staff were fab and it wasn't expensive.
Food hot & delicious.Friendly service shame there's not many Little chefs left now as always dropped in to one at Newtown heading to Wales.

I deliberatly drove an alternative route just to try out this new style of Little Chef and I wasn't disappointed. Gorgeous food, as I expected. Just dead normal dining!! But with excellent service and I really enjoyed it. Great diner and I'll be going back on Friday this week also :)
A Heston Blumenthal refurb but now back to normal menu. It's a tragedy that all little chefs are closing, with this being one of the last still open for dinner time till year end (2017). English history dying to be replaced by Starbucks and burger king's etc. I'm going to cry after this day of little chef's.
You know roughly what to expect at Little Chef and this one is smart and clean, with hearty food and great service. A welcome break on a long journey.
The food was fantastic and the service great, it's such a shame they're changing it from a little chef.
