Went there for our works Christmas party last night we had the function room couldn’t fault it service was great and food was amazing if you want real nice homemade food then there’s the place to go I had a vegetarian option and I had to ask for recipe it was that nice! And they arranged karaoke for us was such. Great night and a laugh would defiantly go there for food again! ��
I tried Sunday roast here this week and absolutely loved it, great service, superb fresh home cooked food at an absolute bargain of 2 adults meals for £12 and kids were £3.50. It was great not to have to wait ages too. Beautiful puddings aswel I will most defo be returning. Perfect all round. Everyone must try this place.
I attended my brothers wedding reception at the Charles Darwin on 28/10/17! It was a great evening from start to finish, the food was lovely, they catered for children and adults so the kids got what they asked for, the disco was perfect! the kids were entertained for hours with the bouncy castle which they loved! All the staff worked very hard to make the day go smoothly! The room was decorated to how my brother and his new wife wanted it to be, it looked beautiful! We couldn't of asked for a better day!! ���
Had 4 Sunday lunches delivered today, 2 x beef 1 pork, 1 chicken, they were all hot and very tasty, and extra gravy ordered wasnt a problem would definitely recommend, thank guys x
Just had a Sunday Roast Beef dinner and pudding delivered I give it 5 stars as it was really good .the meat was good and the veg and gravy were amazing .the pudding was good too.i would highly recommend to everyone and I will definitely be having one again.Thank you xxx

Where to start?! At super short notice Cathy & Lee took on my brothers wedding on 28.10.2017. From start to finish nothing was too much for Cathy. From dressing the room, arranging the food (adding extra options for the fussy eaters on the day!) Sorting out beautiful flowers, a disco dome and to the red carpet that my brother & his wife really wanted. The waitresses were absolutely spot on, welcome drinks looked perfect, and the atmosphere was exactly as they wanted.
The day after the wedding, we booked Sunday lunches to bring us back to life. Again, short notice, we booked on Sunday morning and within 10 minutes of ordering we had our meals served and headaches abolished. Huge portions & the chocolate pudding with custard is a must!
Highly recommended by all that attended & a must for a brilliant Sunday lunch!

Had a take out beef curry and rice tonight!! Absolutely delicious!! Bar man even gave me a pint to make sure I got the best of the deal that was on offer!

Bloody lovely fresh home made Sunday dinner. Also when It came to the table it was piping hot. And all for an amazing price of two adults £12. We will be here most sundays.
I ordered 5 Sundays lunches for takeaway and they where amazing everyone was really full after it and the beef was so tender really enjoyed it. Defo b ordering again. Thanku again xx

I like going when it's quiet to get on the pool table. Staff are friendly and helpful. Decent prices and a few things to do like darts, jukebox, pool, Live TV.
Parking, food, good beer and football on TV before watching the Port Vale away game at Shrewsbury.
Friendly staff, both sets of supporters mixing, 20 minute walk to the ground resulted in a good day out.....apart from our 3-2 defeat!!!

Came here as an away fan watching Exeter play Shrewsbury. Really nice pub with some benches out the front where we all sat. Fantastic touch from the landlady who allowed us all to get some food from the chippy across the road, and eat it at the pub. Cheap beer, and friendly staff
Superb night at Charles Darwin. Good beer (Tribute) and good atmosphere, better still they had live music on.
Excellent venue especially on Match days when Town are at home. Very helpful staff, always a warm welcome and a pleasure to visit.
Tricky one as I'm here pre-fa cup so I'm not sure how it is normally. But its decent drinks, decent atmosphere and it's got 3 pool tables. Lovely dogs wondering around the pub (not sure if theirs or a customers dogs but lovely all the same). Worth going for a drink here with the lads. Not really a family kind of place
This is a lovely pub. Very friendly and they sell lovely rolls! Really enjoyed our visit before going to the football. Will definitely go again next time
Had a really good day today before the game. Allowed to park for free while we went to the Shrewsbury game. Good beer,good juke box.,good atmosphere. You can even go to the chippy across the road and bring your chips back to the pub. Great day!
Nice place, went for a birthday party. Only issue was child changing facilities. None in the males toilets, only 1 in the woman's was on the floor. A pregnant friend has to change her son on a chair as she couldn't change him on the floor. Could do with an upgrade.

Easily my favourite Pub in this area of Shrewsbury.
It's next to an easy access Bus Stop and next door to a Co-Op and Cash Machine both of which are very helpful if needs required.
Great place for us to have a drink before leaving the car and walking to Shrewsbury's football ground. We did originally plan to have lunch here. Small bites served on matchdays but as we wanted something a bit healthier we didn't eat here.
Good pub for Shrewsbury FC games. Friendly staff, good food and selection of beers.
