What a great find. A quirky pub in a very small village. They lut the open fire for us and watched the rugby. We parked our campervan in the car park overnight so had a chance to try the local ales. Couldn't have wished for more friendly & attentive staff. Only marked the food down as the landlords had only just taken over and hadn't developed the menu fully yet. We plan to return in spring to see how they have settled in.

5 star service all round with a smile . From when you enter to when you leave you are made to feel welcome . Lovely new owners , nothing is to much trouble . We attended there for Mexican night and let’s just say food was top notch , beautifully home made . We’ve also just popped in for a few drinks and again made to feel just as welcome with a nice volume of music in the background . Highly recommend a visit 😁

Great to see the pub reopened, went tonight for a pint. The landlady and her daughter were behind the bar and were very welcoming, didn't eat but they have employed a local lady to run the kitchen who i know well so expect the food will be very good. I wish them well and thank you for keeping the pub open.

Fabulous country pub close to the Long Mynd. Excellent choice of ales and the Sunday lunch is absolutely wonderful, as is the normal menu. Very accommodating & efficient landlady (Clare) and staff. Very friendly locals and dog friendly too!

A lovely and traditional country pub with a very friendly and helpful landlord. We enjoyed a few beers in the bar with the locals before retiring to our room. That was very comfortable, had everything you might expect and was very good value for money. Breakfast was actually exceptional. I have had breakfast in two hotels this month costing three times the room rate of the White Horse. And if I added their breakfasts together they would still not have come close to this. Great ingredients and very well cooked and presented. A very dog friendly place and highly recommended.

What a fantastic Sunday lunch yesterday, decided to be greedy and have all 3 meats and wow didn't disappoint, compliments to the chef.. Only downfall.. I eat too much so no room for puds.. But entirely my own doing.. Highly recommended and will be back for more.. ( or less).

Just popped in for a light bite after a five mile walk. However the menu looked so good we had full meals instead. We were not disappointed. Absolutely gorgeous food. Good pint and friendly lady serving. All very reasonably priced. Will be back after lockdown.

Very friendly staff and situated in a beautiful part of Shropshire. Food is a little pricey and a limited choice of steaks, but I have never had a bad meal here. Great choice of real ales. I would recommend that anybody should visit and try it for themselves. You will not be disappointed :)

Fish and chip night! Best fish and chips I've had for years if not ever. Excellent chips and superb, almost tempura light, crispy battered fish. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal.

Great place , publican is great and very accommodating, Bar staff are friendly and welcoming even the locals are a great bunch of people , Ive stayed here on business over the last 9 months every 3 weeks or so . Its well worth the drive up the hills to get away from busy noisy town pubs , food is just what you need and will accommodate fickle eaters , you will certainly fill your boots with the cooked breakfast . Ive never had a bad nights sleep even when its been two foot deep in snow or blowing a gale . Chester the pub dog is the star of the show he just loves to be by the fire keeping your feet warm. You can bring your own dog if well behaved. So much better than a premier Inn.

Had fantastic Christmas Day lunch in lovely surroundings, and we were even allowed to bring our little dog. Every course was delicious! Highly recommended.
