Stopped here one Monday lunchtime and was to a great little carvery. Very pleasant staff, great food at a good price...on a Monday as well!!!... when in the area will definitely call back.
We recently had the pleasure of a wonderful weekend stay at this most welcoming country pub. The atmospheric family room that we had was lovely, with all the amenities you could ask for. The food and drink were excellent, and the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. We will certainly be return
We were a large group who were asked to pre order... This was no problem and the food was fabulous. We had a mix of meals from salads to steaks... Every stater, meal and dessert was lovely. The staff were great, the service attentive. Charlotte was superb, she made our evening! The lot from Devon!
Stopped off for a quick pint, the log burner fire burning warm and a warm greeting from the bar person. Cask ale on pull made my day and a good pint of an IPA was amazing. The pub was quite and welcoming with the smell of beautiful food in a backroom very good. So we stayed at the inn over a weeken

Stayed one night as at a wedding had pet friendly room very clean and tidy,beautiful pub. 2 electric hook ups on car park for camper vans a bonus. Gorgeous breakfast and great staff.
Lovely overnight camper stop. Great food, reasonably priced. We rang in advance to confirm it would be okay to park overnight on our way to the Lake District, they couldn't have been more welcoming. The car park even has two hook ups for campers to plug in to! Seemed rude not to! Fully recommen
Went for a meal after a walk with quite a few friends. Staff were really kind and helpful and served us great food. Specially loved the steak and ale pie! We really enjoyed our evening
We had a meal here with a large group and the service was efficient and fast. I had the lamb dish and it was lovely. There is a garden out the back to sit and swings for kids.
Last minute b&b booking. Friendly, welcoming service. Room and ensuite were clean and fresh. Bed clean and comfy. Full English breakfast was amazing, locally sourced and very tasty. 5* all round. Will definitely be rebooking.

Stayed here the weekend just gone for a wedding nearby. No faults at all, staff were amazing and the rooms were lovely, we stayed in the attic rooms. Would definitely recommend 10/10

Went down for an evening drink (no food) with our puppy. Nice place. 4 stars because the form seats aren't very comfortable.

Vegetarian and gluten free Sunday carvery. Absolutely fantastic meal. Doesn’t get any better than this. Highly recommended. Although I want to keep it a secret as they are always busy, but you have to spread the word of a place that is soooo good.
A proper pub with excellent beer and incredible food. We had there lamb burger it was amongst the best I've had .a definite on the go back to list
