We had afternoon tea as part of a Sabrina river cruise. There was a platter of fresh sandwiches which we delicious. This was followed by an abundance of scones and cakes. We were given boxes to take away what we couldn't eat.

My mom had the last piece of Stilton and leek quiche with salad, she really enjoyed it. I had the ploughmans bap and salad, which was tasty. Initial mix up and received ham (I'm veggie) quickly changed to the advertised cheese. Lovely position near to the cathedral and easy to reach from the park. S

We hired the Orchard Cafe for a family function and it worked wonderfully. The staff on the day were very accommodating and the sun came out so we were able to use the terrace. It was a great place to round off our celebrations.

Lovely cafe, massive, delicious scone with cream and jam and a fine pot of tea. A calm and bright place to stop for refreshments.
Next to the cathedral this cafe is a little gem. Fresh, clean and spacious. Views over the river from Town Walls. Cakes are home made and delicious. Outside seating too.
