Stopped for some wine and sharing starters. The service at the bar was excellent and seats by the river. Food was delivered quick, fresh and hot. We had three starters to share. The only disappointing one was the duck spring rolls. Which was £7 for 2 very small rolls. Would have expected more.
There was empty glasses and full ashtray also on the table which we moved.
The music was a touch too loud if you want to have conversation. And we tripped over a dog bowl full of water when leaving.
Cracking pub in a spot on location. Real ales and usual lagers. Food was lovely. Just had three starters and all tasty. Large outside drinking area overlooking the river. Staff were great. Really friendly.
Fantastic place for a date night, beautiful view over the river, well worth booking in advance, food was excellent, staff were extremely polite and welcoming considering they are all so young, table service vet professional. Overal a very pleasant experience
Here for the best Sunday lunch, ever. 22 degress today, the place is full of summer. Sunday lunch is Beef and Chicken, wow !
My second experience here is, book your table in advance, be very clear or your be perched outside. When I asked if they had any Belgum beer, the waitress never had a clue or wouldn't let me sit on a table that was booked 3 hours later.
Quality food on riverside, served by a host of friendly staff, creating a relaxed and dog friendly atmosphere for all. The menu was rich and varied with plenty of options for vegans and it tasted as if it had been cooked with a serious amount of love and care. Not your ordinary pub food - clearly the owners have invested in a kitchen staff trained with culinary expertise. The bar staff in the garden were approachable and friendly and worked together seamlessly as a team to get my order done. No hassle - simply pay for food and drink upfront and sit back, relax and enjoy the view.
Had a great afternoon sundown meal. The atmosphere was great and there is a lot of space outside in the garden. The boathouse sits on the river with a view of the grass terraces on the opposite bank.
The food was good with fair portions and the staff were friendly and efficient. We were recommended by locals which adds to the appeal.
Premises was clean and inviting with the staff being very warm and friendly throughout. The food was lovely and well presented, with a nice selection of beers and drinks. Me and my family enjoyed our meal and the time we spent here!
Lovely pub in a quiet location within Shrewsbury town. Beautiful setting as it overlooks the canal.
We ate the lamp chops and sweet potato & chick pea curry. Both lovely meals.
Opposite side of the river is a children's play park which is handy for families.
Such a gorgeous spot along the river and even better on a sunny day! With plenty of outside seating, with option to book which I would recommend on a hot day, this space is a delight to spend an afternoon. The staff here are vibrant, enthusiastic and polite. Reasonable value price considering the location £11.70 for a pint and a gin. Food here is brilliant as well would highly recommend
This little English pub is quaint in all the right ways. The staff is friendly and efficient. The meal was great. The venue is next to the river and is just stunning!
Located right on the river bank with great views of the quarry park and along the river. The car park is very small but there is street parking available nearby. The pub is quaint inside with a small bar which has a seating area. Walking past the bar you enter a small intimate restaurant area which is kept warm during the winter months. Outside is a very large area which has lots and lots of seating mostly under cover where you can have a drink or have something to eat as well. I have eaten here a number of times and always found the food to be high quality especially the steaks and the fish & chips.
