This is a much improved local pub with good food and friendly service, under new management I had a nice gammon and chips and peas, a crumble, and a large coke for £11.05. At this point in time, that's an incredible bargain! It's neat and tidy, has a pleasant garden, and a good selection of light
Friendly staff, good selection of ales. We both went for the pies, I had steak and ale, my wife had chicken, bacon and leek. Both came with creamy mash and a portion of minted mushy peas, plus a pot of delicious thick gravy. 10/10
We were on route to North Wales so just called in for a coffee and warm up
Just had a lovely meal here. First time down since it reopened 3 weeks ago Great friendly service, delicious meal, and beer in perfect condition. Thank you Mark and Angie.
2020: Excellent food and fair real ale selection. Comfortable relaxed lounge to the left, more formal dining room to the right. Enjoyed a great night out with friends, will happily return. 2022: I booked in here for a sunday roast (after having been somewhat disappointed with the Beeches) and was h
Saw Google reviews & needed something to eat in the area. We were not disappointed. The landlord was welcoming, we really enjoyed the food & it was a lovely atmosphere. If we are visiting that way again, I would go there. Really reccomend & it does have a car park. Thankyou.
The propritor was a very nice, friendly young man, enthusiastic and full of ideas to make the business work. I hope many people will visit his pub 🍻 to make it a prosperous business. ✌️🤞
Great local now that it's operating "normal" hours! 2 local handpulls plus Beavertown on pillar tap. (Not yet sampled the menu.)
We called in on the off chance tonight. Glad we did as the food was lovely.
Great pub with atmosphere like at home. Good food as well.
Tasty food and huge portions. Friendly welcome.
Myself and my Nan both had Sunday lunch on Mother’s Day and were very impressed. Food was absolutely lovely. Nice and hot and served quickly. Home made deserts were just as good. Service was fantastic and all staff were really friendly. Fantastic value also!
Not from the area and stopped by looking for evening dinner and a drink. Only served food on a weekend but that didn't stop me from eating, was recommended a few takeaways from the landlord and had it delivered to the pub, plate and cutlery provided not a problem and also complementary. This is one
Just popped in, and although they weren't officially serving food, they kindly sorted us out! Such a lovely pub, great servings, and very welcoming. The owner and chef were incredibly friendly and kind. I wish this were close enough to be our local! Been a while since we've been to a good pub. My pa
First time we've been here for a while. Went for Sunday lunch. Extremely friendly welcome. Meat nice and tender. Lashings of veg (and this was only the "medium" sized portion!) Excellent syrup sponge. Price very reasonable.
Great pub with extremely friendly staff and good food. Called in for a quick pit stop on our way back to London from Wales but wish it could have been longer. Proprietor was incredibly accommodating and even gave us a list of places to visit on our next trip to wales as we were leaving.
I was passing by and needed somewhere to eat. After 3 other places turning me away these guys told me to come down and make myself comfortable. They served me some good food and had great staff. Highly recommended little place 😁
We were on our way back from Snowdon and came across this quaint little pub. The land lady and staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. They have a lovely seating area outside for warm sunny days. I noticed how clean the lady's toilets were. They even put a little basket of toiletries for custo
