I live around the corner and wanted to try this revamped pub for a while. Went for a few drinks and snacks. Lovely traditional decor and friendly service!
First time at this pub and deffo a favourite. A warm welcome. They have a lovely local cider by Long Mynd. The food here is outstanding, well presented and good quality. I had a Fidgety pie which was excellent. Will be back for sure
Rustic bare brick interior, with exposed beams, a couple of ales on the bar, tastefully decorated.
It’s an old pub slightly away from the town centre. It has friendly staff,, good beer and great fish and chips with mushy beers. We liked the fact that the beers were session beers not 5% plus . The toilets are upstairs. There is an accessible toilet on the ground floor. The pub is dog- friendly.,T
A ‘proper’ small pub with friendly atmosphere. Small selection of craft ales on tap, but plenty of other choices. Really enjoyed my ping in there
Excellent food and beer in a really good atmosphere with great service from Jazz our waitress and excellent food from Jamie the chef who was very helpful and changed a few things around for me to accommodate my food allergies. Will definitely be going back
Lunch on 28th with 11 others, Excellent service. Good Food , mine was Steak Pie , Chips & Green Beans. The Beers were fine.
Nice convivial old fashioned pub. I ordered a Fish Friday and it was excellent. Not a vast range of beer.
Food was good. Sunday lunch carvery, not really a carvery as food was plated and all food served at the table. The dinner plates spoiled the day, way too small to put any food on.
Oldie world pub very friendly owner good choice of beers differently will be back.
Nice pub. Nice range of real ale. Nice building. Nice interior. Nice bar area. Friendly staff. Great stairs. Big on medium priced pub food and large seating area at back concentrating on food clientele. Basic and not that sweet smelling toilets.
Cracking pub, been several times when in town, just off the beaten track but definitely worth a wander round the corner from the hustle n bustle, great beer & from what another customer said, great food too, certainly smelt great
Nice cosy pub, brilliant food and some great beer options 👍🏻
