Just a short drive from Shrewsbury you will find a great little country pub serving great food .As soon as you step through the door into the bar/restaurant area the service is excellent.The dining tables are well spread with a lovely wood burner inviting you into the room.You don't have to wait too long before your food arrives and I can tell you there's a lot of it,make sure your hungary.If you can fit in a desert then it's well worth it, especially the crumble and custard.We have decided to return to try the Xmas menu but I'm sure it's going to be good.
Welcoming and warm, lovely staff and the food was great (proper chips, not frozen..!) With good portions.
Alway brilliant food, Huntsmans chicken & the chips are wonderful, and very fare price's, we go on a regular basis.
Looking for somewhere to stop off for lunch on the way home from Wales and were lucky enough to stop here. What a find !! Really lovely pub and the food was outstanding. Massive portions and exceptional quality. Fantastic staff who were attentive but not overbearing. Will definitely visit again next time we are up that way.
Delicious three-course Christmas menu enjoyed by members of a local cycling club for third year running. The service was attentive and excellent, the food well-cooked and plentiful, the ambience and atmosphere warm and friendly. It couldn’t have been better. Top drawer and full marks. Thoroughly recommended. We’ll be back next year for sure.
A lovely evening with our daughter and partner helped my excellent, plentiful food and friendly staff. Loved the chips especially as bought memories of my nan. Please don't change them. My only negative is a better tartar sauce for the fish would make everything perfect.
I visited here with the wife and in laws and we all loved every course. The owner was enthusiastic and a very nice lady. The pies are proper pies and the giant Yorkshire pud was giant. Plenty of chips all round and good salads that aren’t just from a bag - meals fit for kings!
Great place for food and good value. Very friendly people. Been a few time and never been disappointed
Absolutely fabulous meals with very generous portions and the homemade chips with the chicken curry were to die for.
A lovely country pub just of the beaten track with very friendly staff who went out of there way to please when extreamly busy 👍.

We're occasional visitors, not locals, but we always receive generous portions when we eat here. There's a wide range of food on the menu and it comes promptly. You'll find a decent selection of real ales to choose from. Staff are friendly and there's a good few local characters to add atmosphere. Check out the amazing cartoons in the gents toilets, too!
