On our first visit to Shrewsbury, I had seen an advert for the Birds Nest cafe. We are so glad we found it, had a great meal, two happy children, had the kids sandwich (great size and price) and happy parents we shared the Golden Buddha Bowl and a XL Cheese Toastie. Absolutely gorgeous and really tasty. It is the first time my husband had tried a vegan dish.. and he thought it was lovely. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and great food. will definately go again if we are ever in Shrewsbury.

Fabulous wholefood cafe on canopied level in Shrewsbury Indoor market. We dropped in for a late lunch on Saturday 20th January; the Buddha Bowl was so delicious. Friendly staff, good food, wonderful atmosphere. Definitely now a favourite!

Amazing fresh food and drink, been twice (so far) and both times have blown us away! My girlfriend loves the chia latte and I would recommend the mocha! Light lunches freshly cooked to order, next breakfast!

It's almost impossible to convey just what a great place this is. The food is just something else; you can taste the care and attention that goes into preparing it. Coffee is right up there with the very best I've tasted, atmosphere is always enveloping, and around you, the bustle of the Market Hall makes you feel privileged to be part of this great community. Long may it continue.

Great place. Never had a bad meal here. It's right up my street. Healthy food and always different, a flavour from around the world, and my little boy loves his banana milkshake! Great vibe and food, keep up the good work :-)

There's quite a lot of choices for eating in Shrewsbury Market, but The Birds Nest offers lots of seats (we were a party of 4), quite a wide ranging menu for both food and drink... and exceptionally helpful, friendly staff.

One of several quirky eateries inside the Market Hall. We had cake, loaded Indian fries and coffee and they were all delicious. Service was very friendly too.

This cafe started the extraordinary revival of our indoors market, which has won many national awards. Today, I had the best cheesecake, ever 😋 - served by friendly Katie at the Bird's Nest. Love the funky world music in the background... So proud to be a Salopian 👍 Yesterday I had lovely Thai noodle dish. See pic

Great spot for lunch. I only get the chance to visit every few months, and the menu has been fresh and new each time. Food is well made and presented in generous portions. Table service with iPads to send the orders directly to the barista and kitchen is complemented by friendly and knowledgeable staff, making the experience streamlined enough for a quick lunch stop without feeling automated and sterile. The setting within the Market Hall is bustling without being hectic, and the bird's nest themed decor is tasteful and unique. In summary, the place is cool, the food is ace, and the staff make it a great experience every time :)

Went for lunch today with my husband (Saturday). The place was busy. You might have to wait a bit for a table. Lovely and cozy place in Market hall. I had Gozleme and my husband had a duck bowl. Food was lovely and tasty. We decided to come back here again around late afternoon on the same day to have desserts. Brownie was to die for ! We would definitely come back here again !
