Re-visited Shrewsbury for the weekend and couldn't wait to return to The Olive Tree after a fabulous meal last time we were in the area. Couldn't recommend this place more. If you like tapas you won't be disappointed. Beautiful food, lovely atmosphere. Shout out to our waiter Greg who was extremely polite and apologetic as they were very very busy therefore service was sometimes slow., this wasn't an issue to us. He remained calm and very professional throughout the evening. We'll definitely be back.
We booked a table for 2 last minute for 6.30pm, upon arrival we realised we had window seats and with me being 35 weeks pregnant I felt it would be uncomfortable seating. The staff were great and offered us another table until 8pm, even though it was fully booked. The food was served promptly and tasted fantastic, the halloumi dish was a clear favourite as well as the meat balls. We both had the chocolate orange mousse for dessert - sublime!! The service and quality of food was 5 star and we can't wait to return once our baby had arrived - i need to try the limoncello and prosecco cocktail! �
We have just had a lovely evening at the Olive Tree I have a strange diet and the staff made sure that I was catered for even though we were having a set menu, drink prices were reasonable and the food was excellent value, there was lots of it too ��

Went here for my mothers birthday on wednesday, unfotunately had to rush as we had somewhere to be. The staff were so friendly and understanding to our situation and brought the food promptly. And what wonderful food it was! So authentic, fresh and tasty! Will definitely be heading back to enjoy the full relaxed experience. Thanks guys and see you again soon!

Best food in the town!! The tapas style gives you the opportunity to try a little of everything. During our 8 day visit we ate there 3 times. AMAZING food and staff!!!! Already craving my toffee sauce! ;)

Completely blown away by the quality in every way...service, the food and the set up including the delightful outdoor terrace. My wife and I enjoyed the best food we've had in our town of Shrewsbury. The three young ladies waiting on us were just superb. Our food of various tapas dishes and a beautiful large pizza went down very well with Kelvin beer. A very enjoyable lunch time. Definitely be back and can't wait.
Fortunate enough to have a sunny day, we had booked inside but they offered us a table in the courtyard. Incredible venue, we felt we could've been abroad and the atmosphere was really relaxing.
Food is delicious and there's a varied drinks menu... everything was reasonably priced.
Staff are really helpful and pleasant. Can't recommend this place enough, we will definitely be regulars.
Obsessed with this place, it’s currently my favourite place to eat in Shrewsbury, especially in the summer in the courtyard - it feels like you’re in Spain!
Their hummus & patatas bravas are both amazing and a must to get every time. I would also recommend their meatballs and broccoli (if they have it as they change their veg options on the menu weekly). Average selection of drinks, the sangria is ok but not strong enough for my liking 😜

Beautiful location, inside and out. Friendly and attentive staff. Great selection of small dishes, excellent quality and the food arrived promptly. Excellent selection of drinks and desserts. A great time was had for my wife's birthday, and we will definitely return.
What a great place this is. A lovely, clean, warm and relaxing environment in which to enjoy your food and drink.
Great food, every mouthful was an absolute delight, I particularly enjoyed the cray fish salad.
There are also many gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options too and they are really clued up about dietary requirements so there's no need to take a risk elsewhere.
Park down by the theatre severn and take a stroll along the river or a peek in the local shops before you go for some delicious food.
Everything was amazing.. From being welcomed, being seated, drinks, food arriving.. The food was totally amazing.. What a little gem, we will definitely be coming back, can't wait 😁
Wow - The Olive Tree is a great place. Ate here for the first time prior to seeing Tim Vine at Theatre Severn last night. From the moment we walked through the door the whole experience was an absolute pleasure. A very warm welcome at the bar, a lovely attentive waitress who clearly knew the menu well, and great seats outside enjoying the September evening sun.
The tapas was faultless, piping hot, well presented, and very tasty. All accompanied by very well kept beers.
We were all pleasantly surprised when we get the bill - far less than we were expecting.
All in all a brilliant experience at a very reasonable price.
We'll definitely be back.
So grateful to have found this gem during our trip to Shrewsbury! The outdoor courtyard area was picturesque. Fantastic vegan pizza! One of the best I’ve had! Ideal temperature and really loved the combination of toppings. The crust held together perfectly and was a great thickness. Very friendly and personable staff. Pricing was extremely reasonable too.
Beautiful sheltered garden, with covered areas so perfect for outside dining in our unpredictable summers. Tapas small plates are generous and delicious (6 easily fed 3 of us). A wide range of drinks including Sangria, cocktails and beer. A great dining experience with friendly, attentive staff. Highly recommended.
Plenty of GLUTEN FREE & VEGETARIAN dishes (marked up on the menu). The food was delicious, the restaurant was immaculately clean, and the service was friendly and attentive. The menu changes regularly depending on the availability of fresh items.

It's definitely my new favourite place. Staff were so helpful, took out orders promptly, and served food swiftly. Gorgeous selection of food and drinks. Hubby and I had a meze to celebrate our graduation, and every dish was fresh and full of flavour. Prosecco was refreshing, and the desert was delicately perfect. Couldn't have asked for more helpful staff. Really enjoyed it and will definitely go again.

The courtyard is lovely, some areas covered some not. I do not like sitting in sun. Companions do. Inside is set out in a way that looks private for tables and occupants. I prefer more light when eating, companions; not so much. I am not a fan of the food, do not like beans of any kind especially hummus (texture, not flavour) sensitivity to chilli which seems to be in most dishes.
Staff cannot be faulted, well mannered and helpful. (also cheerful looking)
We've been to The Olive Tree quite a few times over the years, and it's always been great. Admittedly, it's not the cheapest meal out, but you get what you pay for. Excellent food. Excellent service. Excellent experience.
What a lovely experience, secluded yet open courtyard , menu looks very nice and the food delivered to diner's looked inviting. Staff and management warm and welcoming. Table booking advisable during those peak hours
