We went through the Riverbank for a meal on a friends recommendation to celebrate my daughters birthday. We were greated as we walked through the door and made to feel special. The waiter and waitress were extremely polite and attentive despite the restaurant being busy. The menu had plenty of mouth watering dishes to choose from at reasonable price our meals didn’t disappoint! I travel internationally and eat out a great deal and can say the Riverbank is possibly the best restaurant experience I’ve had this year. We’re looking forward to our next visit!!

Had dinner here this evening... absolutely amazing! Really lovely atmosphere, food was delicious and the service was just great, really friendly and so attentive. We were brought complimentary breads while we waited for our freshly prepared mains. SO worth the wait!! Really tasty food! So glad we found this place... we called in earlier today completely by chance to have a drink, then decided to drive over especially this evening to eat. Definitely worth it . Thank you very much!

In my humble opinion the best restaurant in Shrewsbury. The food is superb, the service is prompt and friendly. It is a real pleasure to dine at the Riverbank. Arranged a meal for 19 people and could not fault the service and everyone said that they would certainly be going back. Well done Riverbank team.

Never been before and have to say I’m glad I came. The staff were lovely and the food was gorgeous! Compliments to the chef as the hake was cooked to perfection even though the place was so busy. The risotto was gorgeous too. Will definitely be coming back. Thank you.

Called in for an evening meal with a friend. We arrived before the main rush, which included 2 large parties. The service was excellent, as was the food. Would certainly recommend this restaurant.

Visited with a group of friends. Very attentive staff, they made us feel welcome, even when the restaurant was very busy, they managed to provide us with a good experience. The food was good. Enjoyed very much the halloumi burger. My friends had the paella and they also like it. The pasta with salmon was a bit salty, but again the plate was left empty. There is a service charged that we were happy to pay and was introduced by the staff in a very polite way so we didn't feel pressured in paying for it. Tiramisu could do with less marcapone cheese and more Tia Maria 😊.

Popped in for a late light lunch and had a really delicious meal. The decor was lovely. We were sat in a window seat over looking the river. Service was very friendly and despite being busy we were served quickly. Our light lunches were beautifully presented and we really enjoyed them. Will definitely return.

Really nice location. Staff super friendly and helpful. We all had a Sunday roast. Plenty of meat, which was really tender. The only thing I'd say, is they would be better not cooking the veg in whatever it is they cook it in. Sunday roast...keep it simple. Other than that though, great place.

Food was excellent. The interior and feel of the place was really nice. Service was generally good, they were a little stretched perhaps but it was busy. We asked for some more drinks, but they never arrived, forgotten. We didn't get charged but that was the only thing that could have been better. Otherwise, lovely place, would recommend.

Visited on a busy Saturday night and had a thoroughly enjoyable time. Food very tasty, served piping hot. Good selection of beers, wines and cocktails. All food and drink very reasonably priced. Service a little slow at times and it did seem like we'd been forgotten on a couple of occasions. Still - just meant we had longer to chill out. Recommended.

I came here on Mothers Day with my daughter and it was a wonderful experience. The waiter that met us on arrival said we had had the best seat in the house and he wasn't wrong! A table for two overlooking the trees and river. We had the roast dinner with all the trimmings. Very rare for me as I'm vegetarian and don't always get a roast dinner option. The nut roast was beautiful and plenty of vegetarian gravy too! Apparently a couple had got engaged at our table a week before! Not surprised as its such a beautiful setting. All the staff wonderful, helpful and very friendly. We shared a creme caramel desert as the lunch was so plentiful and we were nicely full. Beautiful food. And to top it all my daughter paid for our lunch as it didn't break the bank! We will come here again when I'm visiting :-)

Went for a Sunday lunch. The lamb was superb with a good variation of vegetables to accompany it. Nice surroundings with an open view of the river Seven through the trees opposite. Service between courses was slower than we liked and the table for two that we had struggled to accommodate the food and drinks, to the point where we had to remove the table decorations to fit everything on. That said, it didn't put us off and we will return some day. One tip, and nothing to do with The Riverbank, DO NOT park on the bays outside, as at £2.80 an hour it can be an unsavoury pill to swallow for convenient parking! u

Having visited twice this week, once on busy Sunday lunchtime and today. The quality of the food and service is reassuringly the same. Service is both friendly and efficient and the food fresh and tasty. Very relaxing atmosphere too. Big thanks to all the staff.

Beautiful Italian food with an extensive menu including British classics. Chef came out after his shift to talk amongst the guests which was a lovely touch. Great ambiance here, busy, had 50 girls from the local independent school who added to a lively evening, they were all very lovely & polite, made our evening good fun.
