Had a nice meal here.
On a Wednesday evening the open half of the restaurant was full and lively. The service was quick and friendly. The food was fresh and tasty. Recommend if you happen to be in the area.
Probably the best Italian food I've had in England. Definitely the best garlic mushrooms. Friendly and helpful staff but not over the top. Definitely recommend.

We had a family evening meal for 8 of us. Everyone has something different & all of us cleared our plates. The food was delicious. The menu had lots of great options & the restaurant was very busy. Service was friendly & quick.
I absolutely adore this place and have come here ever since I was a little girl, food is delicious one of my favourite restaurants, unfortunately there’s was one mishap that happened, I was debating on whether to write this or not. Last week I was in with my mum for my birthday and we had a glass of their house white wine (which is delicious) and I had asked one of the waitresses if there was any sulphites in it as I’m allergic and will come out in hives all over my face, she said no, so after about 5 minutes after sipping some I notice my face is going a bit red and immediately my skin starts burning and I know that there was sulphites in the wine, sadly I could not enjoy my meal because my face was in agony.
First class food, gets better and better each time we visit (and we've been a lot). Excellent value for money and always a friendly service. A truly hidden gem in a beautiful village setting. We recommend the Calamari, Goats cheese or Garlic bread as a starter (see photo).
I booked a table at Sale Pepe with 10 friends for my birthday. We arrived there on time and had the table reserved. It was very decorative inside and the service was great. It did take a while for the starters to come (about 40 mins) but we did have drinks first and enjoyed the atmosphere.
The food was delicious (I especially liked the Garlic & Rosemary flatbread) and the main course of linguine Bolognaise. I think the main course had a little too much meat in, but was great! I had a desert as well - first time I had affogato but was delicious.
They sang Happy birthday and a candle came with the dessert.
It's definitely a place I'd consider dining at again:)

Absolutely spot on every time. Lovely staff fab food we often come for dinner but today we had lunch and the menu was lovely please try yourself you won’t be disappointed ❤️🥰
