Stopped here on the off chance of getting lunch. Walked in and tables available. Food is outstanding and staff friendly. Great place to eat as service is excellent. Some low roof height in between the bars but a great place to tuck into some grub.

A hidden gem. Have been visiting for the past twenty years, but the new owners have raised the bar. The food is exceptional. Staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. The quaint old pub has a bubbling stream with ducks and trout, and a lovely play area for the kids. Plenty of parking too. I recommend this highly.

We came here and sat in the sunshine by the beautiful river with trout fish swimming. We had some lovely sandwiches beautiful presented generous portions and absolutely delicious. The staff were really friendly and attentive. Really good service. A real gem on the island.

Visited a couple of times over this festive period, we’ve been coming here for years. Food was great - the light bite options were fab - and very well priced. Staff were lovely and service was quick. Would highly recommend for food and/or drinks!

I am not a big reviewer but today I feel the need. We turned up today for a family meal after last visiting many years ago. The entire place has changed, its fresher, cleaner and so welcoming. We were then greeted with the most genuinely friendly hello and smile from the lady that was working. She must have been the owner or manager because she obviously cared about the venue and obviously loved her job. She greeted us and the children individually like old friends. We were seated at one of the few available tables, and you could tell from the buzz we were in for a good meal. We ordered our food and nothing was too much trouble as my eldest made many amendments to his "crown burger". Our food came out and I have got to say, I have never sampled this incredible pie before but you would have thought it was straight from the specials board. So much meat, so well cooked. I will be back to try again. The rest of the family had the tagliatelle, steak and of course the burger. They were all thrilled with their meals but obviously that meant none left for me to try. Then finally we went to say our goodbyes and it felt like we had made a friend for life. We will definitely be back to see our new friend at this incredible establishment to.make sure the rest of the menu lives up to what we have already sampled.

Always had a good meal here and the staff are great. If you go for the steak and ale pie, be prepared for a meat overload, it's packed with juicy tender beef! I got food envy when I tried my husbands raspberry roulade so I'll definitely be having one of those next time. Thanks again.

Wonderful food, freshly cooked huge mains & magnificent deserts. We were recommended by a local & The Crown didn't disappoint. Local beers on tap were the icing on the cake. Highly recommend as this was the best value we've had for a long time.

Beautiful country pub with a well maintained family bar garden. The food was fabulous, Porkbelly, Fish and chips and Cod fishcakes with chilli sauce were our choices. We bought fish food to fed the fish in the pond next to the beer garden. Would definitely visit here again 👍.

Possibly the best pub i have ever been too and that's not an exaggeration. Fantastic food, very welcoming staff and a good selection of beer. The kids stayed entertained in the garden, the dog enjoyed the sun and the missus liked the price. All of which meant I could enjoy a few beers in the sun

Our local pub and we couldn't ask for better. A great day on Bank Holiday Monday with the duck race. Lots of fun. Staff pulled out all the stops busy with food and drink all day, they played a blinder.

Washed down a lasagne with a nice pint in the lovely garden. Plenty of parking and a little area for the kids to play. Lively clear stream flowing last where you'll see fish and ducks.
