Good food. Good service but delays on the food due to staff shortages, although staff were very apologetic.

This was much improved since my last visit a couple of years ago. The lunch menu at £12.49 for 2 courses including salad, represented fantastic value during this economic downturn. The food, service and cleanliness had also improved significantly. The tall waiter, Liam I think, was also very friendly and helpful and is a great front of house asset. My father and I were so impressed that we returned the following day. I would have given a full five stars but on the second visit, I asked a girl outside if she had any gammon, and she said she didn't know and then disappeared. I had to find the duty manager and ask her before seating. Also the salad bar was a bit untidy on this occasion. Having said that, the overall experience was positive just not as good as the first but it was busier. Kudos to the new manager and team for making such an effort to turn this place around.

Service was very good and friendly. Allergy assistance in restaurant is second to none. Our 14 Yr old daughter has a severe peanut allergy and we were so pleased to be able to bring her to eat at Harvester, it was wonderfull for our family to feel so included. Oneminor thing that really is just a bugbear of my own, I'd really rather have my fries/chips on my plate instead of a bucket on there. Thanks for a great experience.

Came in for a last-min dinner late one evening. We were sat and seen to very quickly, and directed to help ourselves to salad. It was freshly topped-up and very inviting. The dinners were lovely and extremely filling. Couldn’t manage a dessert, but from those being taken past to other tables, they looked lovely! Perhaps next time.

My partner and I have been coming to this Harvester for three years now. Every single time we come here, we have had a warm welcome, yummy food and a fantastic overall experience. All of the staff are friendly and polite but a huge shout out has to go to Glenn who always goes above and beyond to help his customers and bring a smile to people’s faces while doing so. Today we had the halloumi skewers and they were absolutely scrumptious! Thank you again for such fantastic customer service and a wonderful Sunday lunch 😊

We had a great experience recently at Harvester Southend. We went with friends and an 18 month old and our waitress Kinga was incredible. She was so good with the baby, got us everything we needed, made him laugh and was always on hand to help us with food and drink requests. Food was lovely and hot, great selection and salad bar was full and fresh. Very good service, will come again!

Great burgers and very friendly staff. Took ages for kids meals to come and then fish fingers and fries were over cooked. We really needed help occupying the children. Staff were good though.

If you are lucky enough to be served by Glenn you will be well looked after. No matter what time of day I visit this place he always seems to be there and with pride and passion! Loads of parking, decent food and a stones throw from a play park for the kids or a short walk to/from the beach. Only criticism is I don’t like eating my English breakfast from a rectangular plate
