A great little cafe tucked away behind the village on the edge of an active airfield. Being a biker, I had initially headed over to Dom's bike stop but the service was too slow, so carried on to the Hotspur cafe. Its a lovely spot to sit in the sun watching the planes come and go. Prices are very reasonable and the lovely lady behind the counter even have me a discount due to the slightly smaller cake I ordered.

Great service and priced reasonably. Breakfast was lovely and cooked perfectly. But the sausage was the true star. Just mind out for grumpy old campers....

Excellent food, generous portions, delicious soft serve ice cream and all round a great little spot. We went today for lunch with family and enjoyed watching the airfield in the sunshine too. I had the chicken burger which was delightful, a nice chunky chicken fillet with bacon, cheese and bbq sauce served with chips and salad. Really filling and tasty. My dad and nephew both had ham egg and chips which were generous portions too. A really lovely afternoon, thank you.

After having megs recommended to me, I thought I’d take a ride to this cafe. The staff are very pleasant and Meg was lovely. The food was cooked to a high standard, will definitely be heading there again, nice place to take the kids to do a bit of plane spotting.

A really nice welcome from the folks that run Meg's at The Hotspur Cafe. Located in a nissan hut adjacent to the airfield and flying club. There is a surprising amount of room inside with plenty of more tables outside too. We opted for cooked breakfast for brunch - a very popular option with others it would seem. Vegitarian options were readily available and nothing seems too much trouble for the kitchen. If the club is flying there is plenty to interest and entertain from the very young to the young at heart. Well done to all those that make this a great place to visit.

Great Sunday breakfast at the Shobdon airfield. Used to come here on the bikes pre kids, still a great place to come to. Short wait for excellent food, full for the rest of the day. Go, you will enjoy.

Omg the best kept secret in Herefordshire. Just really really well cooked honest food. Nothing fancy just proper food cooked properly. And the price is fantastic too. Try their sunday lunch its superb. A choice of beef, chicken or pork. You have to try and book so they can make sure they have enough in but trust me you will not regret it. They also do a great take away menu too.

Under Megs directorship, this Cafe has blossomed. Over the years this place has had its up's & down's, but, since Meg has taken it on, it remains consistent. Well done Meg, Mum, & all the polite Staff

An excellent stop off when either flying or driving in. Had the fantastic beef and Yorkshire pudding baguette. Although there was no cake available, we had a still warm Bakewell slice. This was certainly the better option.

Came as an incoming aircraft and as near perfect as you can get. Decent landing and tie down pric on a tarmac runway with a great ATC. Excellent cafe and really friendly and helpful lady on reception. Tried 6 numbers for a taxi without success before the delightful Sally-Anne (she's Meg's mum and says Meg is a tyrany but don't put this in the review), who worked in the cafe (open 365 days a year virtually!), drove us to our pub in Presteigne and collected us in the morning insisting on no payment. Flew in the morning over the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons - great spot.

Great for breakfast, never been any other time. Meg and the team are friendly, and breakfast is excellent. Love to watch the aircraft taking off and landing so a bonus.

Quirky cafe in a nissen hut on the a apron of the small, yet active, Shobdon airfield. Ideal stop for tea and home made cake when I'm out on my motorcycle. Nice setting and service. They can run our of cake though...
