I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Saracens bar and restaurant in Shirley, and I must say that Candice provided exceptional service throughout the entire experience. From the moment I walked in, she greeted me with a warm smile and made me feel welcome. Candice was attentive and efficient
Just had Sunday lunch. Plenty of everything so you will need a good appetite. Pleasant service and excellent value. Would highly recommend.
Absolutely beutiful location. Really great staff, friendly and welcoming. We only popped in for a drink, but would reccomend it if you're in the area. It's a bit pricey compared to most pubs in the area, but what price do you put on great memories. Well done guys 👍
Called in for a drink after a walk dog friendly pub, was greeted with a friendly warm welcome by a lovely lady who was the owners mum,we hope to return for a meal in the future would recommend visiting 😊
Black pudding and celeriac remoulade, fish and prawn curry. Both of these were top notch. Washed down with a Tribute, you cannot go wrong. Very impressed, I will most definitely be back.
Had a lovely meal with friends Saturday night, delicious food, and great service, friendly and welcoming pub, will definitely be back

Visited the little Village Shop in the Saracens Head car park. What can I say, a hidden little gem with some of the best artisan food I have tried! Had an absolutely delicious bakewell tart and a chunky meaty steak pie! Didn't get chance to visit the pub but I'll definitely be back to try it!
Visited here for the first time, for lunch, today, & was very impressed. All the food looked to be cooked from scratch, and the ingredients were fresh- it was clearly made with care & attention. For a starter, I had the smoked mackerel on horseradish waldorf, which was fantastic. I also snuck a ta

The fish was beautifully cooked, the batter lovely and crisp and I really enjoyed this. Pudding was c
Went for my birthday with the hubby. The food was amazing!!! My favourite place would highly recommend !!!
I like the crispy duck, and dessert, and the first dish of king prawns, they are very delicious! The decoration is very tasteful, very good, I like it.
Cosy gastropub in a village five miles outside Ashbourne. Excellent menu and surprisingly generous portions. Friendly service. Tables somewhat close together, so not a place for an intimate date. Mostly families and older couples on Friday evening. Book ahead.
Had a wonderful Sunday lunch here at The Saracens today. Went into the deli first and had a browse, great selection of local produce. Walked into the pub past the kitchen pass, had a chat with Anthony the chef, and were seated near the bar on a great table next to what would be a roaring log burner
